Just a short overnight trip to Manchester with a friend, this was the perfect location for us, as we were visiting the university and student area of the city. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast included - wow! And it was a good one! What excellent value for money - we`ll be back.

I don`t feel able to criticise anything during our short stay.

Clean comfortable room, en suite, tv, etc, all satisfactory. Near to bus stops, nice grounds, excellent staff. Usually prefer cooked breakfast when travelling but this was fine. Have made several visits and look forward to making more.

More of an entertainment than a dislike but the plumbing was noisy and musical in my room (can't speak for others of course).

I really enjoyed my stay at Luther King House in August 2014. The hotel has an excellent location, with good transportation links to Manchester City Center. Breakfast is very tasty, rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Great value for money!

Room was modest, but it had a comfortable bed.

Luther King is an ideal location for visiting old friends in the area. The place is not ostentatious and I like being surrounded by so many trees. All the staff are charming and helpful; I was unable to sample the bar as I had to drive quite a bit during my stay.

Having to leave. I would have preferred to stay for at least a week, but I had used up most of my holiday allowance for the year and ' surmised it would be prudent to have a few days in abeyance.

Luther house is a cheap and nice hotel. It is a good location, and on the major bus route into town.

It would have been useful to have a second set of keys for the room. Invariably different people want to do different things in the city at varying times, which means some planning is needed with one set of keys.

Our 5th time at LKH for a Bank Holiday weekend for Manchester Pride. Pleasant staff, clean and straight forward facilities. Good choice of self-service breakfast with lovely breakfast team. Beautiful quiet setting and environment despite being litwerally 1 minutes walk from the main road and bus routes. Excellant VFM.

On occasion there was a slight dripping noise from the room above us but didn't cause us any problems. If you are looking for luxury this venue is not for you, but if all you need is good, honest, clean, friendly, VFM place to get your head down with all basic needs more than covered you couldn't do better.

The staff were friendly. The Continental Breakfast was ideal

It was extremely noisy in the night after 1am with doors slamming. The room really needed decorating & the bathroom although was a wet room it had a horrible damp smell & because the window in the room couldn't be opened it meant we couldn't escape the smell

The friendliness of staff and garden courtyard

The noisy water pump system when using the ensuite bathroom and the noise of adjacent slamming room doors.

We regularly use LKH for business stays and it's perfect for us. Quite basic but our colleagues feel it is like a second home. Excellent value, food is great and friendly kitchen staff, leafy location near the Curry Mile!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is great for the Curry Mile and for getting into Manchester, yet it is very quiet. The garden is a lovely, relaxing place to sit.

    Friendly staff, very helpful!

Would have been nice to be told the time for breakfast when we checked in as ended up missing it. Also took a while when checking out as had to wait 15 mins for a member of staff to come to the reception desk. A bell of some kind would be helpful.

Except the shower (and I believe it was very exceptional) everything great (but we spent there just one night).

Great shower, but the tap was broken so the water was not warm enough.

This hotel is basic, and does what it needs for a reasonable price. Bed was comfy and it has it's own en suite. It is walking distance from the curry mile and other areas are easily reached by the local taxi firm they call for you. They have large communal gardens to relax with a drink.

The rooms are small and the bathroom very cramped but this place is to sleep, not relax in luxury.
