I have complained to hotel directly due to the noise we experienced in our bedroom due to staying above a wedding reception which was playing load music and did not finish until way after 12 midnight. Noisy room.

Such a beautiful hotel next to Granada Studios rooms, bar, restaurant designed well. Very comfortable. It was my birthday & they put a cake in my room & gave us an upgrade to a suite at a very reasonable price. We didnt have breakfast as it was £16.95 per person The bar charged us 3 different prices everytime we ordered a drink. The same drinks everytime ??

Come to the Marriott atleast once every 2 months, find it really relaxing and is only a short walk up to Deansgate for shopping. The rooms are very relaxing and very confortable never had a bad stay there. The concierge are very helpful, park your car and help with your luggage great service. It is reasonably priced and you do get good deals. I would recommened the hotel. Was very dissapointed once again about the booking in process again, it always takes a good 10 minutes to check in, i do not find the checking staff very friendly and everything looks like it is a big deal when asking for anything extra. The breakfast was cold when brought to your room this is dissaponting to say the least especially when it is quite expensive but is good value for money.

Exceptionally helpful & friendly staff, superb re-use of an old Canalside Cotton Warehouse with tasteful rooms which give a nod to the architecture (wooden beamed ceilings etc). Large, well appointed bar/lounge area with canalside views.

The hotel was good and not in a bad location. The rooms were lovely and comfortable with very nice furnishings. When we went to our rooms our friends had two wine bottles still laying outside the door. Then when we went into our room the bins had not been emptied and were full of old food cartons. Then there was also a small used carton of milk laying on the floor under the mini bar. So we were not sure how much cleaning had been done in the room. Not what you would expect from a Marriott hotel. The breakfast was good but there did not seem to be enough staff, as outside the main breakfast room were heaps of used cups and plates on the bar and on tables. It did not look good. Please do not let these comments put you off going because in spite of these we had a very good weekends stay at the V&A. It just needs to raise it's game for the price we paid.

The friendly and efficient staff. When they said "if there`s anything else you need, just ask", they actually sounded like they meant it. The excellent food, and room service which was very punctual I`ve been to this hotel many times, but this was the first time I had been given a room in the "new" build, which has standard sized bedrooms with no real character. Previous rooms had timber beams, cast iron pillars and exposed brickwork.

The greeting and service from the girl (pregnant) on reception was excellent, she could not be more pleasant or helpful. The hotel is in a lovely building and the full character maintained. We only had a short stay to attend a concert at the men but will not hesitate to return again. Only issue was with the bed, there appeared to be a cover on the mattress that was a little uncomfortable but did not impact our stay.

Good choice for exploring city. Easy walking distance to museums, exhibition centres, city centre. Close to chinese quarter where there is an abundance of eating places ranging from shabby but excellent food, (evident from popularity plus chinese people eating there). To good class decor but not many eaters. We chose the first. V good choice. Hotel is very pleasant, rooms good and very quiet, we were on 3rd floor. Rooms quite big with all usual amenities. Car park on site, no problems though little expensive at £16 per night. There was a public car park adjacent at £7.20 but seemed deserted at night. (Take your chance). Our room was excellent though our friends room went quite cold. Nothing seemed to make the air-con pump out heat. A call to reception resulted in prompt attendance but even they could not get any heat. A room swap was offered to a room opposite. As it was now after 11.00pm this was refused by our friends (foolish). An oil filled radiator was supplied by the hotel which eventually took the chill off the room.

A lovely atmosphere when we walked in, rooms were lovely and relaxed and very clean and comfortable. Loved the wood beams in the rooms. The evening staff very helpful and chatty. The hotel staff on reception when we booked in could of smiled and could of made the check in alittle more of an effort and made us feel more welcome. The exact same lady was on the check out and still no smile from her.... Really did let the hotel down. They could of done with some more light in the room but it did make it cosy all the same..

Nice lobby area. Nice wood beams in ceilings. Not in best location - 15 min walk to shops. Very poor room service food - was ill after a pizza. Bannatyne's gym off site and not very well finished. Expensive for what you get - would say should be 3 star max.
