Food poor service poor unfriendly front desk staff
The location was ideal for the University. It is a great, friendly modern hotel which offers fabulous value.
Nothing, it was brilliant!
I loved the the overall style of the room. Very large and relaxing. Bed was fantastic. Also loved the style of the bathrooms.
The only thing I could say was when you came down for breakfast the tables weren't cleared by staff and were only clearing plates rather than clear the tables one by one. But overall great experience
Spotless, friendly staff and top quality food. Not much else to say
Everything apart from the location (distance from town)
It was an open day on the weekend we stayed and we were not informed of this, until we struggled to get in and out of campus. Cost extra in taxis as the queue and traffic was awfull. Wouldn't have stayed if I was made aware that it was an open weekend. Very disappointed at this
Nice, new hotel, plenty of parking, breakfast good.
Lumpy duvet had to be changed. Not enough staff at breakfast, so a little too self service.
The room décor and furnishings are very stylish. Lovely setting with a view of trees from the room.
It was very busy when I arrived and the reception/bar area was noisy - not the place for a quiet relaxing drink.
continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Brilliant walks in the university grounds.
Have stayed many times. Did not like the single beds as they were not comfortable.
A well located hotel in a nice setting. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room and hotel in general was clean and modern. It allows good access to both the town centre and the road networks.
A slight criticism is that the hotel is not particularly well sign posted and it would be helpful to have better signs in the complex showing the location of the main hotel entrance and where to park.
Modern clean hotel with comfortable rooms. Peaceful location on beautiful university campus.
Expensive bar food so drove into town for dinner instead
The location, the warm welcome. Rooms a little small, but larger than average bathroom. Very convenient if children are at Nottingham university.
Poor wi-fi connection
No clock in the room and no phone by the bed (for the wakeup call).
Staff were very attentive, rooms were of an excellent standard, all set in a beautiful location!
The staff were all very helpful, pleasant and well informed. The building and the atmosphere of the hotel are airy and welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Its location in the University Park makes it a peaceful and delightful base within easy walking distance of Wollaton Hall.
Absolutely everything about this hotel is excellent and of 5 star standard. Excellent value too.
Breakfast was excellent. Ambience of hotel was very good.
Steam came out of the handle of the kettle in the room. There was not a socket for the hairdryer within convenient distance of a mirror - even the cupboard mirror was an awkward stretch.
I liked everything , from bedroom design and layout to reception staff, providing a customer service.
The location for the hotel was a bit hard to find, that's all .
Everything, from the staff, rooms, facilities and location! Excellent stay!
Overall the hotel was beautiful. The colour scheme flowed throughout with an enviromentally green theme. A great nights sleep!
It isnt central for the city centre; but if your wanting peace and quiet this is just right
Building, location, bed and bedroom, breakfast, sustainability!
Revolving doors broken and PCs down at reception
Breakfast was terrific and bed and bedroom were great. One tall guy on breakfast was the business - pleased to be helpful.
Bar lacked character. Had a poor lunch experience - soup was warm and fish had too much moisture and made bread soggy.
Pretty much everything - I travel 12 weeks a year all over the globe, so was pleasantly surprised to find such a good hotel on home turf. The hotel room design is excellent, with spacious bright rooms with considered lay-outs (you'd be surprised how many hotels get the basics of room layout wrong).
The check-in staff should remember to direct guests to the south lifts for rooms on the fourth floor - but this was a very minor point and I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Nottingham area.
