Convenient Central Location Cosy 2 Bedroom Property Separate Garden Room Rear Garden Character Property The space Dwyfor is a tastefully renovated and modernised Welsh stone-build cottage in the heart of the old part of Porthaethwy (Menai Bridge). This cottage is a wonderful mix of historical features and modern amenities such as a modern gas fireplace, power shower, bathtub, full kitchen and summer room. This property is only a 2 minute walk from the Straits, with so many places to explore and walk in the immediate vicinity. Downstairs, this quaint cottage consists of a Lounge/Dining Room, Kitchen and a Garden/Summer room which is accessed via the rear garden. Upstairs there are 2 comfortable bedrooms. One features a king size bed, and the other a bunk bed with full sized single mattresses. Both have wardrobes and drawers for the convenient storage of clothing and belongings. Also upstairs is a spacious and well appointed bathroom. At the rear of the property is a wonderful enclosed garden area, which is an ideal place to relax and enjoy your spare time along with the drink of your choice, whatever the time of day. We've had this house in our family for 50 years. 4 generations have created wonderful memories here, now it's your turn! Guest access Guests have access to the whole property and garden. Parking is usually available on the street itself, for which there is no charge. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. At the bottom of Chapel St. is the Bowling green, with fantastic views of the Straits and garden. Within minutes you can walk under the Menai bridge itself along Beach road. Past the fairy circle of stones and onto the Belgian Prom there is a lovely walk to Church Island, a local place of worship since the 7th century. The circular walk is completed by returning through the woods. Also within walking distance of the house is St. George's prom and pier, often with the Prince Madog University research vessel docked at the end. This pier is great for crabbing with young children. Bait and equipment can be purchased from Menai Tackle and Bait just up the road from the entrance to the Pier. RibRide is a short walk away from the house and offers exciting water sports experiences along the Straits. If you have children Pilli Palas, Anglesey Sea Zoo and the beach at Benllech are all musts. We also recommend the Aber Falls mountain path at Abergwyngregyn as a reasonably accessible walk for little legs and prams. Please do bear in mind that this is still a mountain national park and equip yourselves appropriately! Further afield you have the amazing underground playground that is Zipworld. Spread across several sites they have everything. Above ground is Velocity 2, the worlds fastest zipline, meanwhile deep in historical slate mine caverns there is an underground trampoline park, caving experience, underground crazy golf and a historical tour. There are several good pubs within walking distance. From the alternative vibe of the Aukland Arms to the more traditional local of the Bridge Inn, there are 5 local pubs within walking distance. For lunch Menai Bridge has a good collection of cafés. Plus39 does fantastic Italian lunches, or you could go for Vegan treats at the Green Olive. Dylans restaurant is an absolute must. Just a 5 minutes walk away from the house it incudes fine dining with amazing views of the Straits.
