The room was very clean and warm, although perhaps smaller than we would have liked . The double bed was comfortable. The ensuite was very clean. Very good for a short stay and will definitely be back.

Cumbernauld village is part of the huge Cumbernauld estate, a town outside of Glasgow. Only stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting family in the area. Easy access to Glasgow and Edinburgh etc. We ate at the Coorie which is part of the Black Bull inn, food good and staff very friendly and accommodating. Didn’t do any site seeing so can’t comment on the local town faclities, but a huge place and a car is necessary.

Have stayed here several times.
Have stayed here several times. Location and fact it’s pet friendly suits my needs. Staff are always amazing. Friendly and helpful. Recent visit disappointing. Room not as comfort as I remembered and breakfast definitely not as good as before.
Coffee stations not working or needing replenished.
Orange juice dispenser needed replenished.
Sausage/bacon platters at buffet needed replenished at different times.
Embarrassing having yo ask staff about- coffee station, orange juice, sausage platter, bacon platter.
Will always go back as location and pet friendly is perfect, but having to pay £20 for pet should ensure client gets same Hilton comfort as other guests.
Perhaps more staff in kitchen would ensure quality Hilton breakfast.
Full praise to Westerwood Staff.. They are the reason I would return.

This is a very strange town.
This is a very strange town. I think we stayed in the old part. Small, only 2 not very nice looking restaurants and some take aways. To get to the new part you need to drive as we could not find any proper roads unless you want to go past a dual carriageway. 30 minute walk anyway. The new part of town is even worse than the old part, no real city centre, many restaurant chains.
Went to a park nearby, that was OK.

Its a quiet central location with Edinburgh Sterling to the East - Glasgow and the Trossachs to the West and excellent road links.
Good food at The Black Bull in the Village.
Book parking at attractions in advance as they can be busy.

I would recommend visiting Cumbernauld Village but, unless you enjoy large shopping malls, not the Town Centre, a 1950s 'New Town'.
The Village was the original part and the Town that grew from it was carefully planned with lots of green spaces. It could have been more enjoyable if there wasn't so much decay. It doesn't look as though money is spent on repairing and reviving what must have been a massive improvement on the back streets of Glasgow.
Bus service no. 37X to Falkirk takes you directly back to Cumbernauld Village - 2 miles away from the Town Centre.

We were really disappointed with the standard of cleanliness. The shower and shower head were dirty. The doorway was littered with cigarette ends. We were in 4 rooms before the room w3 we given was suitable. Not sure how this fits with COVID guidelines
Irene - the host - was so thoughtful and really helped us out with everything we needed. Even when the world conspired against her (wifi dropout / water pressure issues in the area) she went above and beyond to make sure our stay wasn't impacted.
A truly stunning place in the countryside, but close enough to edinbrough / glasgow / stirling for a lovely Scotland break!
The room was spacious and clean, bathroom was nice and the shower was strong so all in all the room was great. We had dinner and breakfast and both were good. Dinner had just enough choice on the menu for everyone and the food was delicious. The breakfast was excellent and nice to see square sausages :-).
The pool spa area is nice too.
we have stayed there before and we were pleased to see it was still the same, clean comfortable room, friendly helpful staff and a very good breakfast, the hotel is in a nice quiet area and not too far away from main shopping centre. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come again.
This was a perfect place to spend the night on our way to Glasgow. The room was clean and tidy. It was a bit of a creaky building (I think there must have been another room directly above ours), but otherwise it was nice and quiet.
All good value with great service. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. It’s fifth time stayed even spent 1st night of our marriage at hotel with friends and family
Location was perfect for us, in between Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh. Very friendly staff and very friendly patrons so much so we were able to stay an extra day.
