We only stayed for one night on a tour of the Highlands but were very pleased with the friendly welcome from the front desk staff, who kindly gave me an upgrade when I asked for a room closer to my fellow travellers. Close to shops and restaurants, the theater festival, walking trails. Older hotel with lots of character yet had a nice indoor pool and a lovely garden. Very nice hot breakfast in the morning. Quiet room, comfy bed and very clean. Convenient parking.

It was easy to get to and away from the crush of people in busy Pitlochry. There was a very evident personal touch from the staff, who were friendly and made sure we were very comfortable. Breakfast was good (great coffee!) and hot. The house itself was nicely appointed and comfortable - didn’t leave one feeling like you shouldn’t touch anything because it is precious.
Set within a historic 19th Century building The Pitlochry Dundarach Hotel’s high position features views of the local highland games field and the River Tummel.
