A lovely listed cottage, just stumbling distance from a good pub in a quiet village surrounded by spectacular walking and cycling country Families will be very happy here with plenty of space in the sitting room with its big shelves full of books, toys and games. A wood-burning stove (logs provided) keeps you warm, you're guarded by a civil war suit of armour (the owners are passionate about the history of this area) and surrounded by bold colours and local art. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the basics for cooking and a generous welcome hamper with bacon, eggs, bread, biscuits and wine. You eat at the beautiful oak table in the separate dining room with a fire blazing on chilly evenings. Or saunter down to The Blacksmith Arms and have a pint while the children play in the village field. You have your own private walled garden at the back, a sun-trap during the day, and with table, chairs and a family-sized barbecue. Explore God's own country then sleep peacefully in neat-as-a-pin bedrooms with plush beds and garden views.

The resulting design combines a unique sense of space, openness and harmony. Paul and Natasha are delighted to welcome you to Yew Tree Cottage for short breaks, long weekends, and full weeks. The perfect place to escape to North Yorkshire where you will have an unforgettable experience. Get away from it all - enjoy the fresh air, the local food, and be relaxed the minute you arrive.

NESTLING deep in the Ryedale countryside, just a stone’s throw from Kirkham Priory, Westow, is a gorgeous little village with a pub and a village hall at the heart of its community. We are blessed with local milkman who delivers papers, and fresh milk to the door; a local butcher who sells organic meat from the local area (and delicious!) and organic farmer boxes can be arranged. For the kids, there's a great playground on the road to the church.
