The room was lovely, spacious and decorated well. Also the food was exceptional, not just mine but all my colleagues said the same.
There was an emergency light in the room that stayed on all night. but it was by the door so didn't cause any discomfort at all.
Everything, especially the hotel itself. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and warm. Food was lovely and lots of it. Will definitely be back.
Everything apart from the noise late at night from some boiler system out side of the room. Did get offered a free nights stay in another room and a discount on the night. Will be takng up the offer as it was a beautiful place and we would go again.
I slept in the hall on another level most of the night outside someone's room. I asked the kitchen staff if I could sleep in the pub and they wouldn't let me. We hadn't had a day off since November and wanted a quiet nights sleep in a quiet location. Totally blew it for me. Woke up crying at breakfast absolutely exhausted and had to go home to a 12 hour night shift. :(
veery good staff/very good room (we were upgraded) good food and brilliant choice for breakfast
no bad experience
Couldn't fault this place, recommended by my brother who has stayed a number of times. We had stayed in an expensive hotel in Bath and the Cotswolds and The Bear's Paw outstripped them both in all factors.
That we only had one night there!
Food Location Room
The room was lovely with four poster bed and fab bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The bar and restaurant was warm and homely with the grand fireplace.
Bar prices were quite expensive especially the wine. The wifi was temperamental which was annoying.
Comfortable bed Clean room Spacious bathroom Characterful dining room/bar area Good breakast choices Friendly staff
No lift No light/salad options on menu Weak coffee with breakfast Shower did not give any hot water
The room - spacious and comfortable. Service - friendly, helpful and efficient. Overall good value for money and I would be happy to stay there again.
We just stayed at The Bears Paw for one night. We had a lovely evening, an excellent meal with good service. We stayed in a standard room that was well appointed and very clean. The breakfast menu was amazing and the food was cooked and presented beautifully. All in all a lovely place.
Every time we visit here we have such a lovely experience. The staff are so hospitable, the good is amazing and the atmosphere relaxed. We will revisit for years to come and have recommend the Bears paw to many a friend.
I have stayed here a few times for business recently. Rooms are great size, well furnished. The restaurant is brilliant, good selection of food and drink and at a good price. Breakfast very good standard
It is out in the sticks, so mobile signal difficult, internet often patchy which can make evening working difficult
Excellent food, accommodation and hospitality.
Having to leave
The beds were so comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. The restaurant and food was fantastic.
Welcoming atmosphere.Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food, good choice at both breakfast and dinner with more than ample portions. Care taken to ensure my wife who has a nut allergy could eat safely. Comfortable bedrooms, well appointed. Choice of local real ales.
The only disappointment was the inconsiderate attitude of a family whose children were running and screaming along the corridor until almost midnight. Not the fault of the hotel but one of poor parenting.
All staff and management could not do enough for use even reserving us a table for dinner before we arived
Lovely well furnished and equipped rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurant with well cooked and well presented food. Super breakfast included in price. Always seems to be busy.
Difficulty in finding location. Road signs were somewhat confusing, obviously fault of local authority. Would suggest a few signposts erected by the Bears Paw would be a great help. As total strangers to the vicinity we found it very frustrating & were on the verge of giving up the search!
Very comfortable with pleasing modern decor and excellent food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Choice of room sizes. Executive very good sized room.
Modern decor spoilt by bedside lights where modernity outweighed functionality.
Spotlessly clean room, friendly staff and great food
Lovey relaxed cosy place to stay, beautiful room and excellent food !
Very relaxed and the staff were very friendly.
Room hot at night, when the window was opened the noice from the kitchen started at 6.30.
Room 14 backed onto the air conditioning and extractor fans which you could hear all the time. Mentioned to Checkout staff you said they would look into the problem, otherwise excellent.
staff made the extra effort to provide breakfast despite me being late .
Great location Great property Comfortable, spacious and clean rooms Wonderful restaurant & bar Great staff
