How friendly the Staff were, very professional and warming. That was all staff, credit to them all.
The grounds, peaceful.
How cosy the room was.
Small touches with chocolates in the room and toiletries.
Surprised how many activities there were to do. Next stay will be for longer for us to do some of the activities.

The new studio apartments at the rear of the property look great we had a room in the main house. We had a large old style room with 3 beds which was good for a family. The beds were comfy. Excellent cooked breakfast

Excellent Breakfast Selection . Slightly disappointed that at the Evening Meal the Menu was the same. My Wife loved the surrounding Garden. i was taken ill on our first night - My Wife asked for help-very quick response by members of the Staff including the Joint Owner and a former Nurse taking me to the nearest Hospital and where I had excellent treatment . Many members of the Staff asked how I was getting on during the balance of our Staff. They could not have been more helpful and friendly. Unspoilt pretty village with lots of history in architecture and only coat of arms to Charles 1 st . Good local store, newsagents and hairdresser amongst others. Ideally situated to explore central Devon whilst been accessible to the coast and Exeter. Good food to be had in local pubs at reasonable prices.GillianUnited Kingdom

The service was excellent and the Venison and the Rump Steak were both fantastic, 10/10. The hotel was good the staff were helpful and friendly the room was ok but is apparently waiting to be refurbished. Lighting was poor and there wasn't a lounge area to the hotel to sit in comfort, it was either on a dark landing or in the restaurant. perhaps something to consider in the refurb.?RobertsUnited Kingdom

The cottage was very cosy with a wood burner in the sitting room, and the small rear garden was a lovely place for a cup of tea in the sunshine. The owner was extremely helpful.
