Located just outside the market town of Thirsk, in between the North York Moors & Dales , The Poplars offers bed and breakfast accommodations as well as 5 self catering holiday cottages. Each accommodations has its own private access and free parking. Free WiFi is available on-site, in the rooms and guest lounge. B&B rooms at The Poplars are all en suite, and all come with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Each room has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast is served in The Poplars’ beautifully appointed dining room and consists of the finest locally sourced ingredients. Further pubs and eateries are located a 3-minute drive away in Thirsk market place. The World of James Herriot and Thirsk Racecourse are both less than 1.2 mi from the property. The Poplars, originally a farm house built in 1901, is an impressive detached property with far reaching grounds. Set within an acre of gardens, the Poplars Rooms are all accessed via their own private entrance, affording you the privacy usually asssociated with a larger hotel, whilst offering our guests the personal touches and attention to detail from a small family owned Bed & Breakfast. Ideally located for access to all major routes ( A1, A61 & A19) as well as being only 250m from the train station, The Poplars is an ideal base for business or pleasure. All rooms are exceptionally well equipped with all the comforts you would expect from a quality driven establishment; Freeview TV, Power Shower, Free WiFi, Bathrobes, Mineral Water and Tea & Coffee facilities make for those extra special touches. A great nights sleep, complimented by a fantastic breakfast....Bed & Breakfast as it should be. Please be aware that because we are a family run B & B and not a hotel with a staffed reception desk, we do ask our guests to try and adhere to our usual check in time of between 4pm and 4.30pm.
