Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and good location, clean hotel.
Noisy traffic throughout the night, dated decoration.
Good location, comfy bed, good breakfast, plenty parking
The hotel is situated in the heart of Burton and is very convenient for all the local shops The hotel was very clean and although a bit of a rabbit warren was a traditional solid hotel Rooms were excellent and although looked out over a main road didn't hear any noise
Close to the centre of town. Friendly staff. Comfy bed Clean Excellent value for money
Next to the traffic lights at a busy junction so some traffic noise. Decor dated/worn and in need of renovation. Not a problem for us as we are vertically challenged (short) but both the bed and bath were quite small
Excellent location very close to the town centre. Very good breakfast we were served quickly.
Our bathroom was far too small room 6. Whilst in the bathroom the light would switch off after a given time. We had dinner in the hotel and were told we would have a 20mins wait, wrong after 40 mins we still hadn't had our starter. We complained and were first told it was because they were busy. Really there were only 6 other people occupying 3 tables. We were just thinking of leaving after 50 mins but our starter arrived. We were told because the restaurant and kitchen use radios to communicate and the member of staff in the restaurant was on the wrong frequency the kitchen staff were unable to inform her that our starters were ready. They need to get this sorted. it spoilt our stay.
cleaning wifi location generally it is good
breakfast is not a buffet it must be because it is a three star hotel the stuff a bit rude we arrived almost 2 pm and waited more than 30 minutes. we were told to wait the check out is very early and not more than 30 minutes given for late check out the lady told me that she can only give me 30 minutes to check out because they are having party. she was saying that as my room is the only room available at that time
Breakfast staff were very attentive and quality of breakfast good.
Interior very dated and in need of decoration and new carpets, bedroom very poor by todays standards, needs modernising. Room not very clean. A lot better quality and value for money can be found locally
Breakfast was very good, and the receptionist was excellent when we booked in. Car parking is good and it is an easy walk into town.
The room was up and down old stairs, the bathroom lights would not go off. The kettle in the room was dirty inside. Because of this we decided to eat out
Bathroom was not v clean,WiFi sporadic, non buffet breakfast.
The breakfast - both staff and choice of food
Very little on the last visit
Night porter was a star.
room was are a little tired
Badly stained cups in bedroom. Taken aback by mouldy bread roll served at evening meal.
Location Bed Breakfast
Good central locationwith a good sized car park which made our stay easier as we were backwards and forwards a lot. Clean and pleasant rooms with excellent room service. Lovely breakfast service - nothing was too much trouble and the quality of food was excellent. Nice to have a served breakfast rather than self service - especially with a smile! Staff in the evenings were also very accomodating and friendly.
Receptionist on arrival was a little abrupt and not very welcoming after a six hour drive.
Quality food good facilities easy parking
Staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Great parking facilities. Bar open all hours if needed.
Hotel is in need of a refurb. It's looking very tired. Very noisy outside the hotel. Bust road, and lots of pub goers.
the hotel is situated near town centre, just a short walk into town..lovely hotel, very clean, and value for money..staff were very nice, only draw back, was finding somebody when needed, but having said that would deffinatley recomend if you want style and comort..
Excellent breakfast and friendly staff
Décor is rather dated but acceptable
There is a car park which is nice and the hotel is easy to find. The hotel is certainly dated but adequate, our room was mostly clean apart from the windows. There was a lift to our 3rd floor room thank fully.
During a heat wave our room (38) was 28.5 degrees despite air conditioning. We complained 3 times and were told the solution was to leave the windows open!! Eventually were given a second electric fan. It was unbearable. If the aircon doesn't work in the rooms please don't advertise it. I was glad to leave and won't be going back. The staff in the breakfast room exchanged a lot of sarcastic banter about customers reactions which I didn't think appropriate.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and upgraded us to a suite when we asked for a different room. The breakfasts were copious and excellent. The hotel is conveniently located and has to be the best value for money in Burton. We'll be back!
Quiet Room with adequate facilities
Room access very frustrating, it took about 20 attempts each time to get the card key to operate the lock and open the door.
Location & made at ease
Couldn't work out the shower out easily & the wifi had dead spots in the room.
The several stairs to our room. The was dust on our head board
