Toravaig House Hotel  

We liked the friendliness of the staff. The bedroom was of a reasonable size with a view , good shower and lovely complimentary toiletries, a comfortable bed with bedding and furnishing of good quality. A decent size of kettle for tea making was appreciated too . We also liked the real fire in the lounge and the general ambience of the public rooms. The meal we had was possibly the best we have tasted anywhere.

The hotel was pricey when you compare it with a hotel plus flight abroad for a short stay . However, for a special "let's push the boat out" break to explore Skye , then it was most enjoyable.

It is a fair distance from any other restaurants and menu for the hotel restaurant is a set menu.

The location was convenient to the Armadale ferry and the setting was beautiful.

The service was courteous but not as friendly as other places we visited. The food was advertised as gourmet but we did not find that to be the case. Since it was expensive, we would not recommend this hotel to friends

The hotel was beautifully decorated. The staff was especially accommodating. The location was pretty and was close to the ferry. The road to the hotel was a 2 lane highway which made it a quick ride to get to from the town of Broadford. The dinner was nice although it was not included and was a bit pricey. The short walk to a castle ruin was also nice, and the hotel had cleared a path for easy access.

It was a bit expensive.

The food was excellent and the room was very comfortable. We also did a yacht trip which the hotel organised and it was wonderful.

It's an elegant, charming small hotel on Skye. Breakfast was excellent. It's very quiet.

It isn't so very near the water, as we assumed in that it boasts its own yacht. Our room looked out at a hill--not a particularly attractive hill, just a hill, on an island of stunning landscapes. We had to drive to get to just about anywhere. Dinner at the hotel (48. per person for a set menu) must have been astoundingly good. But it was the only option, and we didn't travel to Skye for dinner. I think this is an excellent hotel for travelers who are coming for a night or a weekend and just want to get away from the city in a very well appointed house. It's probably not for those who came to Skye to see Skye.

The service was very good, the staff lovely to talk to, the evening meal was outstanding and a good selection of wines.

I thought the price was steep in the scheme of our trip. We stayed all over England and Scotland and this was the most expensive hotel and therefore would have expected the room to have more facilities E.G. fridge in the room with fresh milk for a cup of tea/coffee, wi-fi access, fruit platter or evening chocolates and maybe a a bottle of champagne on arrival. The price was nearly double what we paid in other 5 star hotels.

It really isn't good enough to only offer a set menu for dinner for £48..no a la carte, no alternatives. The food is good but it takes nearly three hours to get through dinner! The second night we went to the local pub - excellent value!

I sstayed only one night. It is a small hotel almost a B&B. It is close to the ferry landing making it very easy to catch the first morning ferry. There are no big cities on the Isle of Skye so the hotel is alone the main road. The road is not so busy to create a noise problem. The staff is very friendly.

Nos gustó todo. Como curiosidad, las comidas que se sirven son de alta cocina y con mucha pompa y diseño. Aconsejo quedarse a cenar una noche. A 5 minutos del Ferry que nos saca de la isla. We liked everything. As curiosity, high cuisine for dinners (strongly suggest having dinner once at least). At only 5 minutes distance to the ferry.

Precio elevado, puede que debido a la época del año. Un poco alejado de las zonas de mayor interés, pero en una hora de coche se está en todas partes. Debido a la categoría del restaurante, no es adecuado para cenar todas las noches... Se echa en falta un menu algo más guerrero y agil. High price at least at summer season. A bit far away from most interest areas, even though not an issue because you can reach the full island by car in less tha an hour. Due to restaurant excelence, it's not adequate to have dinners every night... someone can miss more quick and traditional dinner after being full day out.
