Well located in Cardiff city centre, this Premier Inn features modern rooms, with some offering views across the city. The shops of Queens Street are just 100m away.

kindness and disponibilita of the owners is excellent, wonderful big breakfast, the bus stop is in front of the house and the bus can reach the city center in a few minutes.
Having to get taxis into city centre every time you go anywhere
Location, room, clean, nice lounge, good everything.
The owners were really helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We had a freshly prepared meal on one eveing which was as good if not better than anything i have eaten in the local restaurants. Room was clean - if a little small. and location good. Would certainly recommend.
Great food and hosts, we had a lovely time with breakfast in the lounge, thank you. I was a bit reserved for the area where the BnB is located and the sheared shower&toilet, but didn't have any problems with it.
lovely hosts stuart and paul go to great lengths to ensure that we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. the breakfasts are wonderful and there is really something to suit all tastes. we were in the tardis and hub in the annex which effectively meant we had a flat to ourselves so that when staying with our grown up son we had great privacy and flexibility. would definitely think about going again.
the location is not in one of the best parts of town, but even so felt perfectly safe out in the evening. approx 40 nin walk to town but there is a bus stop right outside. plenty of on street parking
Breakfast definitely the best ever
Sharing bathroom facilities with other rooms
the people, breakfast, price, really nice stay and you get taken care of well. Would recommend it
Just one downside: noisy doors from the neighbouring rooms and our own. Do wake you up at nights.
Rooms a bit small
Friendly place, great value
Very friendly & helpful staff; huge portions of fresh & incredible food; large, comfy & thoughtfully decorated room; their dog Max
The breakfast is excellent, and Stuart and Paul were incredibly helpful and accommodating. My room/apartment was excellent.
The only chair available in my room was a tiny, metal one, more fit for a terrace than a bedroom. It was a tad uncomfortable.
Paul , the B&B owner is a great host and he gave us some excellent ideas of visits. Breakfast was really worth the extra £. The room is nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. I slept so well.
The bathroom is shared, which is fine if it's not very busy. but it was a busy weekend and we had to wait to use the bathroom.
A great welcome, exactly what I was looking for. All the facilities I needed and will use the B&B again. And it was a good reasonable price, not too far from the centre and other local places.
The toilet and shower were together which could have made it a little awkward. Nevertheless, it worked out O.K.
single room very small but this is not unusual in B&Bs
Friendly staff and comfortable rooms ;)
A lovely stay, right from the warm welcome and coffee on arrival. Ty Rosa has a lovely homely feel to it - no need to stand on ceremony, just relax pretty much as you would do at home. The lounge / dining area has comfortable chairs and lots of books and DVDs that you're welcome to make use of during your stay. We stayed in 'The Keep' at the top of the building which was fairly roomy, had a comfortable king size bed, plentiful tea and coffee, TV / DVD player and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast comprises a generous self-selection of cereals, fruit juices, yogurt and wonderful fresh fruit, but perhaps the biggest decision of your day will be making your choice from the cooked menu - broader and quite unlike any other I have seen in a B&B or hotel. Spoilt for choice doesn't come close! Dishes are then cooked to order so arrive fresh and piping hot. Really recommended. The Bay is about 20 minutes walk away (city centre slightly longer in a different direction) - which was a little further than I anticipated but that's down to my own research - but these are also easily accessible by bus or taxi. Both have a wealth of bars, restaurants (Cha Cha Tapas at the Bay was excellent) and clubs so if you are happy to stay a short distance from the bright lights and benefit from a friendly, non-corporate B&B, Ty Rosa fits the bill.
Warm Welcome and very helpful Peace and quiet Fabulous choice at breakfast Value for money
Shared bathroom but this was not an issue as very clean and tidy
Owner was great, really welcoming, accommodating and cooked a great breakfast, even caters for people with various dietary needs. Easy to access both city and the bay and at a reasonable price.
Room, stairs and dining room all need a clean. Also didn't like the shared bathroom, had to share with a woman who was washing her clothes in the basin all night! Road is noisy until about midnight, so if you need the window open expect traffic and noise from passing people...
The staff, the decoration, the wonderful breakfast. It was exactly what I was hoping for. You can also ask the staff to have some ideas of what you can do in the area. We followed their suggestions and it was great.
Unfortunately there was a guest who forgot the other guests might want to sleep until 9.00 on the weekend and he spoke very loudly in the staircases just in front of our door. But the rest was brilliant.
Very enjoyable stay. Host gave us information on public transportation that was very helpful. Great breakfast!
Was in the anex across the street from the main house. 3 flights of stairs.
Everything was great would definately stay again .
Great value for money Comfortable bed
Shared bathroom isn't ideal but was aware of it before booking
Paul and Stuart would be terrific neighbors and I would want to pop in every morning for a chat over their lovely coffee and exquisite breakfasts (hollandaise for a queen). I could catch up on the local scene and be advised how to spend my day. They are wonderful hosts and their home is inviting. It was no problem to arrive in Wales after the overseas flight and leave luggage at 9AM and return when the room was ready at 2PM check-in. When I returned I was so grateful to find my bag already hauled upstairs to the room. I was meeting my husband who finished the End to End 1100 mile bike trip, bike in tow. After a three night stay at Ty Rosa our hosts allowed us to store the bike with them while we toured Wales for another week before returning to Ty Rosa. Their kindness fully relieved us of having to deal with the bike. We have many fond memories of Wales, but Paul and Stuart were special. Thanks, guys.
Wales was very warm this July. Wales has no top sheets and windows that only open 3-5 inches. Though not specific to Ty Rosa (we found the situation in every BnB, hotel and apartment) no sheets meant sleeping without any covering or being swamped by thick and winter-cozy duvets. I'd add a top sheet.
