Very close to the centre of York yet quiet. The air conditioning had not been cleaned in a while which led to me and my wife developing breathing problems for the next 7 days. I know this as I see this often in hotels and villas with poorly maintained air conditioning. |

staff were very friendly and helpful. comfortable rooms, excellent city centre location. good breakfast with wide choice of options only minor issue was no extra blankets in room and unfortunately, very cold weather. not unduly cold but would have been more cosy with blankets |

We liked the fact that everything was replenished after the first night, e.g tea, coffee, toileties. Also the location as we arrived by train so were happy to be near the station. |

We stayed on the 7th floor and the River Side of the Hotel the views over the City was great, the room was very clean and confortable in all we have no complaints. Location was excellent and I would have no problem recommended this Hotel. No, this was a city shopping trip with my daughter location was great hotel was comfortable and clean I have no complaints. |

Very convenient for centre of York and close to train station - 5 minute walk. Room was warm. Breakfast was good. Usual cereals, fruit, yoghurts in addition to fried breakfast. The corridors to get to our room were very cold. No heating on in the corridors. In the winter you need jacket/warm jumper to get around hotel. Could not make use of the hotel bar in the evening as function room next door to bar was booked for office parties so the bar was pretty much taken over by them. Yes, it is run up to Christmas and you expect parties to be going on, but it would have been nice to sit in the bar to enjoy a drink after a long day out walking around the shops. So we used the pub across the road! |

I liked the hotel being central and convenient for shopping and 'sight seeing'. Very satisfactory for family city break. Some of the staff a bit 'grumpy', others friendly and helpful. |

Rooms newly decorated and immaculate Very late check in time (3pm) which was problematic as we had a wedding to attend. Car park spaces were extremely small - several guests were having problems parking. |

The location is ideal just turn left at the top of the street and you are in the town. The bathroom could be updated and the carpet in the room we stayed in was all dirty and stained. |

The location and the comfort of the rooms. The price is excellent value for money Oh dear...the breakfast room is a scramble which needs tighter management to help the flow of guests and food (eggs were not available for some periods) |

Close to all the pubs and shops, but very quite in your rooms even though there were parties in the hotel. All the staff were helpful. Will be returning next year. There is nothing possible that anyone could not like about this hotel. Clean, modern, quite, short walk from pubs, eating places and shops. |

Well laid out room,not too hot ,windows that could be opened, very clean bathroom and spacious shower cubicle. slowness of lift and its noiseness.We we were on 8th floor and everytime lift was used it was quite loud and annoying late at night |

The hotel staff were very helpful, in particular as we had a large group arriving at various times and they were accommodating in helping us to organise the group. The location is very near York train station and is in the City, which made evenings out very straightforward |

We visited york for a christmas shopping trip as well as weekend away, the hotel is very central near to the shops, bars and restaurants.
