Our company Ma Maison Y&R owns seven luxury apartments in Athens. We are Yannis and Rena, fellow travelers for the last twenty five years. Six years ago we decided to do something that we love very much, through BOOKING. The Greek word ΦΙΛΟΞΕΝΙΑ=hospitality is of a particular importance in the Greek culture. It’s a compound word from ΦΙΛΩ=LOVE and ΞΕΝΟΣ=GUEST and refers to the act of nestling and caring of a guest by the host. It was an institution for the ancient Greeks to welcome and take care of the guests at their home. They believed particularly in the idea of hospitality and regarded it as a moral duty and a sacred rule of the gods (Xenios Zeus was the protector of the guests). They offered them bath and sleep and they greeted them with gifts. The host and the guest were linked with friendly ties, which where inherited to their descendants. This is our inheritance. At Ma Maison Acropolis Mansion you will discover Athens at its best. A fully renovated grand oldtown house consisting of two separate suites. N°7 is a 140m² 4 bedroom presidential suite with fantastic views of Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, National Garden & Lycabettus both from indoor and outdoor and an exclusive roof garden. The main archaeological sites will literally be on your feet. You can move everywhere by foot while the Acropolis metro station is just 10’ away. Ma Maison Acropolis Mansion Suite N° 7 is a unique suite with a private roof garden located in Mets, right in the heart of Athens. This is the right place if you want to discover the city. It is one of the most classy and sophisticated neighborhoods in Athens (often called as "Montmartre of Athens") with a lot of shops (supermarkets, bakeries, coffee shops, fruit markets, traditional Greek restaurants, pharmacies, etc). This is a 115m² first floor suite, situated in a fully renovated grand neoclassical house with high ceilings consisted by one living room, one dining room, one kitchen, one big hallway, three bedrooms, one bathroom and a WC. There is an extra bedroom of 25m² (the fourth) which has an ensuite bathroom that is separate from the suite located on the roof garden. This bedroom can be used in case there are more than 6 guests. Just in front of the house there is an archaelogical site, the temple of Artemis Agrotera. It has balconies back and forth and big openings with fantastic unobstructed views of Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, National Garden, Zappeio, Filopappou and Lycabettus Hills from the interior of the suite. Another unique feature is the private roof garden that can be accessed through an external staircase and offers the best views in Athens.

Mets is a small neighborhood, very close to all the main touristic attractions of the city center(it is a 10 minutes walk from Acropolis and just 5 minutes from Kallimarmaro Stadium)but it is not touristic at all. It is located on Ardittos hill. A little bit of Montmartre, a little bit of East London, this is a place you should discover if you want to visit one of the most charming areas of Athens. Mets took its name from the beer house that was established on the hill in 1870 by the Bavarians who accompanied King Otto to Greece. In the 19th century, due to the area's proximity to the Palace and the city center, the neighborhood was populated by middle-class families who built elegant, big neoclassical houses and changed the character of the area completely. It is now considered one of the most stylish neighborhoods of the city. Many artists, musicians, actors, painters have moved in Mets and have given it a more bohemian character.
