Hospitality! Kate the manager was a smiling face ready to answer any question and lend a helping hand. We needed beach towels, directions, recommendations, early check out, and strangely gas for our car and there she was with a do not stress let me help you every time. I can’t say thank you enough for her genuine care.

Great place we went out of season but there was still enough bars and tavernas open, but many more to open and they looked good also. We also had two dogs with us and we and them were welcome everywhere. Could not fault the friendly people and the hospitality we had at our hotel and bars and tavernas was first rate. We will definitely be going back.

Lovely fishermen’s town with great tavernas and bars/cafes.
Lovely fishermen’s town with great tavernas and bars/cafes. Chilled and relaxing atmosphere. Very nice beach, again with good tavernas serving delicious Greek and international food. Walking distance between town, beach and hotels. Hidden gem for me.

It is in strategic position, central to reach beautyful beaches on the east and on the west of the village within 30 min-1 hour by car. It is also a small pictoresque and typical greekvillage with a small harbour, full of shop, markets, restaurants and services, but very quiet as well

After coming from Paleochora, I’m afraid Agia Galini was a huge disappointment. It looks tired and run down and the beach is less than spectacular. The view of the water from any restaurant is marred by the rather grotesque breakwater. I would advise folks to stay in Spili. A much prettier town.

Ag. Galini is a beautiful small city, located on the hill.
Ag. Galini is a beautiful small city, located on the hill. Although is a touristic place its quite and peaceful. Everything is near and you don't need the car to move around. The beach is beautiful and the local shops have a great variety. The local cuisine is delicious and the people very friendly.
The room was clean, very comfortable and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. They were extremely accommodating and helped me with everything that I needed. So this was a big plus. The hotel was wonderful. The price was amazing. Great location , walking distance to everything in the village. The beach was a couple of minutes (literally 😁) away. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Agia Galini.
Loved it!!
Very nice place. We were at the hotel during September and it was very peaceful. We don't know how it is during July and August with all the kids.
The grounds are fabulous. We'll kept.
The room was very clean, larg, the bed was comfortable although it was 2 single combined. The resturant is very good. Breakfast and dinners were exalent. All the stuff were very nice and helpfull. We will be back to this hotel.
The hotel is great, staff is very kind and professional. The rooms are modern, clean, the bathrooms clean, towels are changed every day. There is a safe, a large balcony. The hotel is in the best position in town, the supermarket is just across the street and of course the restaurants. Agia Galini is a beautiful, small town, so everything is close. The hotel has its own parking which is free
It was turned into a hotel/ rooms in 1966 and still holds that charm, the owner and her daughter run a lovely service for the breakfast after that you are on your own. With bars and restaurants literally under the rooms can’t go wrong, walk for 10 mins to the beach where there are lots of tavernas and bars to keep you lubricated , beach is shingle but has sand once in the water.
The owner/receptionist was so incredibly friendly and kind. This is, apparently, a normal thing on Crete, nonetheless this man was even kinder and sweeter than high standard of hospitality we have become accustomed to within two weeks. What a kind soul.
The hotel is lovely, albeit basic, but considering the price we thought it was absolutely wonderful.
Our overall visit at the hotel was amazing. The Staff are lovely, the breakfast (which was included in our booking) was great with lots of variety, and the view is spectacular. I could just sit and drink my coffee on the terrace for hours! Our room was clean and accommodated our family of 4 very comfortably. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Location was great and the rooms were very clean. The pets, Pedro and Phaida, were lovely and greeted guests on arrival and of a morning. The lovely lady who operated the place during our stay was pleasant, welcoming and kind. Breakfast was ok as well. The hotel didn't quite live up to the reviews we had read.
The hotel is super clean, we weren’t able to use the pool area, but staff was super kind and the breakfast was great. So many options and plenteous. Fun walk down to the beach in the evening and over to the old town area for a relaxing dinner. Wish we had more Tim at the property and in Agia galini!
Location is wonderful
very close to Agia Galini
Views are spectacular
We had a nice family villa with our own pool
Stefania the host was super nice, brought us something yummy to eat every day (cake, fruit, Greek yogurt)
We loved our stay here
Beautiful hotel, breakfast was one of the best we had in Crete! Many options and the coffee was great too.
The staff and hotel owner were so friendly and made us feel right at home.
Bed was big and comfortable too! Nice view from balcony.
the location is perfect, 5 minute walk to the beach in one direction, and 5-7 minutes to town in the other direction. the room is simple but fine, kitchenette is well equipped, the balcony and view are amazing!! and the hostess is great!
Exceeded expectations, cozy room in a super cozy small town. Very friendly hosts, great breakfast, great view. Crete was an amazing trip and I could even say this unplanned day in Agia Galini at Akteon was among my favorite.
Size of the room, the amenities, the overall feel of the hotel and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Beautiful views and a short walk away from the harbour and beach with restaurants and bars.
