La Ceiba is not really somewhere to stay for too long as it's really just a port town that you stay before going to the islands. It's got plenty of shops and restaurants to eat and see but generally, it's just another city that will fall into the back of your mind once you've left.

The food was great. Kayaking was fantastic. Las Hamacus hotel and Apart Pico Bonito hotel were both great places to stay. I would not recommend staying at the Omega Eco Jungle Tours Resort. The hospitality was terrible and the pool did not work.

It is great that the hotel is open 24/7 and that there is always a staff member available at the front desk. They also provided us with a shuttle from the hotel to the ferry when we checked out!
