A great place to spend a few days which is near to Shannon airport. My room was very comfortable and warm despite the horizontal rain and storm like conditions outside. Obviously, December in Ireland is somewhere a lot different than say Cancun in Mexico. The weather can be real rough in Ireland. At that time of year though most folks are tied up with the whole Christmas hype and just get on with it. They had a blazing fire in the lobby. The breakfast buffet is top class. Each morning I got stuck into the fried mushrooms, the scrambled eggs and of course Irish white pudding. That'll get you going.
Just a 10-minute walk from Ennis town center, Treacys West County Hotel and Leisure Center offers modern rooms with free WiFi, a 22-yard pool and a gym. Free private parking is provided on site.
