It was catering for a wedding.Very busy and...overcrowded...staff under a lot of pressure
The greeting , the ambience, the views , the service , overall a lovely venue ,great staff and a totally chilled and relaxed break , will be there again
Loud music at 7:30am ish and some noise and banging at 4:30 am ish
Room, location, food, facilities, staff. This place was a very nice experience. Just what I was looking for. Beautiful country house, felt right at home.
Manager was very helpful informative about local history and very welcoming to us
Nice luxury hotel in quiet surroundings.
The 3 course dinner menu was limited. Staff in restaurant were rude
Very welcoming staff, cosy, warm, lovely bedroom, good food, great athmosphere
The two sittingrooms to the left of the building have now been changed to dining rooms so lack of choice as to where to sit. The quality of the lounge food disappointing and lack of choice at breakfast in respect of juices and pastries compared to the previous numerous times we stayed prior to change of management. Also none of the tv stations worked.
The food was lovely , but the staff were excellent very warm very nice very helpful . I had one staff member Stacey who went above and beyond to make us feel special very nice people .
No cigarette machine which is kind of a bummer as the hotel is secluded! So when we ran out of cigarettes we didn't think twice and then the horror to be told there are no facilities to purchase some for miles :(
Tinakilly was as perfect as expected. The staff were very welcoming and could not do enough to help. The bar was very relaxing and the restaurant was amazing, food was superb. The gardens surrounding the house were beautiful. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
Great place! Lovely food, fair prices, brilliant service.
We would have appreciated some drinking water in the hotel room - we had to order it from room service which wasnt a hassle, but would have preferred to have it there on hand. Other than that, everything was great!
We stayed a Tinakilly house Christmas week and what a great time to visit this beautiful hotel. We had a lovely warm welcome by the friendly staff, dinner was excellent and we spent the remainder of the evening curled up on the couches in front of a roaring fire. Can't wait to return!
As this was our second time in the hotel we were thinking it was not going to be as good as the first. We were wrong. And great value for money on a Saturday night so close to Christmas.
The only downside was the bar location. They have limited space so there is no room to sit at the bar. But that's the only negative.
Everything. The room was amazing, later option for breakfast. Very friendly staff
My dog wasn't allowed to come
Although I wish my home was this big!! The hotel is really cosy and the decor is beautifully thought-out which makes it feel lived in and relaxing, rather than a stark modern hotel. Staff are lovely. Would definitely visit again.
Only suggestion that i would make is up grading the TV in our room
Loved the bedroom, dining room, furniture, ambience, beautiful large staircase. The staff were excellent, and gardens wonderful. I will definitely return.
I felt there could be more pressure in the shower, but that is quite minor when compared to the wonderful experience of staying at Tinakilly House. The entrance to the driveway of the House needs lighting as I passed it twice before I realised that it was the actual entrance.
Almost everything I think the dinner menu could be broadened a little other than that we loved everything thank you
The staff are amazing! The boss, Denis was also friendly and helpful, and it seems the team could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Outstanding!
While staying in the Junior 4 Poster Suite which was lovely and relaxing and everything we hoped for, within about an hour we noticed a wet patch on the ceiling which was also dripping onto the floor. When we informed the reception we were moved and bumped up to the Bridal suite ..... Very relaxing, pure comfort and amazing views
Staff during Afternoon tea wee a bit forgetful and staff members arguing on the floor
Friendly staff, good quality dinner
Fantastic rooms & gardens
The bar was a little small (for a wedding)
Trying to get back to its old glory days when restaurant was second to none. Restaurant menu really let's it down but otherwise a lovely place to stay.
Lovely staff, great food and great location and views. The main reception area, restaurant and bar are very welcoming and homely.
Work is obviously underway to improve the hotel but the bedrooms are a little shabby and could do with a lick of paint and some new soft furnishings.
