location is good
You ordered room or bad from internet! But When you come there, They can tell you " We sorry, but we don't have free room or bad" It's what happened with me!
The ONLY two good things about this hotel: location and hot water. These qualities are not enough to redeem this horrible hotel however.
It was filthy, I think the sheets weren't washed. Room was tiny, bed uncomfortable, terrible value for money. SO NOISY, they are continuing renovations even though I asked if they had finished them and the manager lied and said yes.
Position and price
Old and uncleaned rooms.
The only redeeming value might be the location - it's close to Damascus Gate
- Dirt! Dirt! Dirt! We were there 3 days and nobody bothered to change the sheets after the guests that were leaving - I am sure they were left for much longer than that; blankets were so filthy they stuck to our skin! -Dilapidated bathrooms with no soaps, no hangers - unpleasant owner & Staff - we were given the currency exchange rate 1 $ - 4,7 NIS; we were told that we could use the kitchen (free cofee and tea), but when I tried to enter it one day I was told that I can't because the people are sleeping in it (and they were) - one day there was no hot water in the shower, the other there was no cold water; - the sofas in the common area were covered with plastic wrap which not only made you think somone was peeing on it, but also looked ugly
The price I had to pay and the place they gave me was different from the one I booked on booking.com. The hostel was very dirty and a lot of things (doors, showers) were broken.
Helpful with directions. Night man courteous, since no towel and soap in room. Room barely worth price.
Manager said he would email receipt since I am concerned about being charged by hotel and booking.com, both. He did not do it !! No window. Really good breakfast. Generous variety.
The hostel was quiet when I arrived so I had a whole dorm to myself, met some really nice people there. Felt safe as a solo female, hostel has easy access to the cultural sites and just around the corner from the bus stops that took you as far into Palestine. If I visit again, I would definitely stay here.
Bed sheets were a bit old, but bring your own if youre worried about that.
