Great, helpful staff, warm welcome. Excellent restaurant, efficient and friendly service. Excellent location, great view onto the lake. Highly recommended.
Buffet was great...
There is a lift in the hotel, which is handy if you have luggage.
It's only a small motel next to a gas station and a souvenir shop. Very over-priced for what it is. I guess there are not many hotels in this town, so they can price themselves as the top hotel in the area.
The hotel is right facing to the craters, it's a wonderful experiences to live in such beautiful place. Breakfast is good and we also like the hotel dinner, one of the best dinners we had in iceland. 旅館正對火山口，風景棒透了！早餐不錯，餐廳的晚餐水準高。
Location very good for our needs.
A bit old maybe but nothing too bad.
Staff very friendly and helpful offered a wake up service for the Northern Lights, also a great breakfast!
- good place to see Northern light. Just in front of the hotel. - free hot coffee at night - good wifi - very nice (night) staff
Hotel is well positioned at southern tip of Lake Myvatn. It has northern light viewing shelters and offers northern light wakeup calls if you are lucky enough with the weather and the KP index. Very good place from which to visit the lava pillars, Dettifoss Waterfall, boiling mudpots and the Nature Baths. A la carte burgers were excellent and thoroughly enjoyed.
Furniture in bedrooms a little tired and old fashioned. Buffet supper unremarkable as was the breakfast buffet. Door back to the lift and stairs looks the same as the bedroom doors and wasn't marked as the exit. Slightly confusing.
Really friendly, helpful staff. they go out of their way to help with questions and requests. Northern lights wake-up service, mulitple times per night, if requested. Complimentary hot chocolate and biscuits whilst watching northern lights. Hi-Vis tabards for when you trek or explore, complementary Free parking Free WiFi English TV channels A selection of comfortable communal areas with leather sofas, PC and tv Hot tub and Sauna use included in the price. Excellent local knowledge Good selection of organised excursions bookable through the hotel Good sized clean room and clean bathroom, with good space to put suitcases
Strong sulphur smell in shower, basin water, but that cannot be helped by the hotel and is part of the nature of the area.
Friendly, very helpful staff, possibility of northern lights wake up call, great breakfast
A bit expensive compared to other places we stayed at
the water boiler doesn't work but staff were nice to provide me hot drinking water
expensive comparatively speaking
The hotel staff was very nice and even had a wakeup service for the Northern lights (the only place we saw them thanks to the staff!) , breakfast was good and the location is excellent for trips in the area
The price a little high
Nice location, wake up call for Northern Light
- Bad for light sleepers due to their thin walls, you constantly hearing the water running through, people slamming doors, didn't have a good night sleep when we were there. - price is quite steep for what you got
