The apt. is located in the center of Bologna. We called "four steps" because it´s close to everything: four steps (15 minute by walk) from the train station and airbus, from the bus station, Piazza Maggiore and the oldest university in Europe. Served by all public transport. Nearby you can find museums, libraries, the best restaurants, bars and pubs, but there are supermarkets, fruit shops and the famous market "mercato delle erbe", for the cockers. The apartment is on the first floor with no elevator. We're sorry, but the building is still not equipped with an access for people with reduced mobility. We're working on!! A bit of history The building where you will stay, is located on the ancient Walls of the city, around of the year 1100. Also called Walls of Torresotti. In the communal period the Bologna population is soaring, and many homes are building outside the Roman walls of IV and V. To protect also these now districts of the city is therefore built a second wall, about four kilometers longer, with 19 gate or Torresotti (because surmounted by defensive towers). Of the 19 gate today there are only four, and one is the Torresotto in via Piella just below the house!!

Me and Dalva, this years, diced to live a little bit in Italy and a little bit in Brazil. When we are at home we will be super happy to give any advice or information about the city. Clearly under our limits. But we have many friends, great connoisseurs of Bologna and then, hopefully, we´ll answer most of your doubts. When we are not in Bologna our friend Raffaela, plays the role of host. She, even more of us, knows Bologna.

The window of lovers In Via Piella, close to the house, you will find the famous WINDOW. A point of Bologna where you can have a picturesque view of the Reno river, sliding between the streets of the downtown. If you are a guests, the building provides to you an exclusive access to the River, from the cellars. Go down to the stairs and look in the door at the end of the corridor. Be careful not to fall... The District The apartment is in the San Vitale district, the district of the University, of bars, restaurants, of the "Biassanot", Bologna words that means "the night´s chews", the night owls. . You are very close to many restaurants, bars, taverns, night clubs. There are for any kind of tastes. We suggest to lose yourself in the streets and look for the one that you like. Clearly, at the end... the Bologna Center it is not so big and then you can wander around in the various neighborhoods going to walk in the streets crowded also in the night. BUT please take ATTENTION when you go at night !! The town is quiet, but do not overdo it. Always in the company and if´s too dark...why not a good taxi !!
