"Zia Pia" (Aunt Pia) was the house where my aunt lived for 40 years. In the restructuring I wanted to keep the flavor of the story of my aunt, but in the same time I wanted great care to make sure everything works perfectly to make the guests feel at home.

Pigneto is one of the livliest and most popular areas of Roman nightlife. In this characteristic part of town you can see a mix of different nationalities living together. On the very same street as "Zia Pia" you can find numerous restaurants and little shops. The much loved and very famous "Kalapa'" or better the "Greek Potato Bar" as the romans have renamed it, and a new place called "Bitch", already top of the list in Trip Advisor, are only a couple of examples of innovative, trendy fast food restaurants in this quarter. Just a few steps from "Zia Pia" you can find the centre of Pigneto which, like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, by day is a small traditional marketplace (where the local people do their shopping) and by night becomes a lively hub full of bars and restaurants where you can eat out and stay up late. Nearby you can find everything you need, from launderettes, hairdressers, Internet cafes to small independent shops selling vintage clothes and objects. Not to be missed on the fourth Sunday of each month is a unique market with antiques, modern crafts, vintage and collectors items. But Pigneto is not only nightlife, it's also a historical reminder of artistic culture.
