Darkum means "your house" in Arabic. The housing property was built in 1962 by the hand of Al-Hajj Salem Alamarat, the father of 12 children. Being the first builder in Wadi Mousa, Al-Hajj Salem built the house for his oldest son when the latter wanted to get married. After his son got more independent, they started to expand and built houses around Darkum Apartment. In 2019, the 4th son left the apartment after he built his own house. To keep Darkum and Al-Hajj Salem's idea of inheriting the emotional inheritance, Ayman decided to join Darkum to the Booking family. Darkum Apartment will host you as it hosted and raised the sons and grandchildren of Al-Hajj Salem!

Hi! My name is Ayman Farajat. I am 25 years old. I am currently a student at the Archeology and Tourism College in Petra. I was working in the Movenpick Resort in Petra at the reception department for three years. After all of what I ave seen and gained experience from the tourism field, I decided to start my own project with Booking. As much as I want my small business to expand, I also want to expand the guests' horizon and knowledge about my hometown of Petra. I am focusing on making the guests' experience as rich as possible, from food-making, to interactions with locals, to transportation, to comfortable sleeping, and to whatever the guests are looking to do.
