JS1 is comfortable and cozy as your home only for foreigners. It is good for a family or a group (max. 6 guests) without sharing other guests. Easy access from subway (Eungam station of Line 6) and Airport shuttle bus. 8 minutes walk away from the station and bus stop. JS Kim will explain places nearby the houses tourist attraction areas and transportation shortly when guests arrive. There are 3 bed rooms (1 double bed room, 2 single beds room, 1 bunk bed room) equipped with floor heating system and respective air conditioner. There are a equipped kitchen with kitchen utensils and a living room. Guests can use refrigerator, microwave oven, iron, TV, sofa, hairdryer, washing machine, etc. Kitchenware such as dishes, bowls, frying pan, forks and knives, and bathroom ware such as towel, soap, shampoo are provided. Detergents are provided.
My family welcome all the guests. I have a family of five: wife, 3 daughters and me. My wife is a professional house wife, a story teller for kids, and reciter of poems. My daughters love to travel abroad: Peru, USA, south-east Asian countries, China, and so on. I also like to travel and I have traveled 18 countries. I love to know lots of different cultures through travel. With retirement from Standard Chartered Bank in 2015 after having worked for 27 years, I have enjoyed my own life to let me free in my soul. Especially my travel to some European countries helps me nourish my soul. I'm interested in making wooden items such as table, chair, small closet, and so on for myself. At the moment, my concern is to make Korean traditional small wooden items.
There is a supermarket in the back of the apartment (1 minutes walk away from the house). There is nearby E-mart (retail outlet and supermarket) and Daerim Traditional Market. This neighborhood has many restaurants, convenience stores, and food stands. There is Bulgwangcheon, a small stream near the main road. Guests can be relaxing while enjoying watching the stream and the birds. Especially there are lots of cherry trees that invite the ravished eye in spring. Special events such as festival would often be held and dancing fountain show is performed at the near my house in the evening from late spring to early autumn.
