Castelmar Hotel  

Lovely furnishing and garden. A nice touch of Hershey's kisses left bedside on our return from dinner.

For the price we paid we felt breakfast should have been included.

This is a wonderful hotel. The location is great - a few minutes from the sea, a few minutes from the main square, and close to restaurants and cafes. The hotel is full of character - it's an old colonial building. Our room was very big - the biggest we've ever had - with doors leading onto a little balcony with a view on the quiet street and over to the sea. The bathroom is also very big, with a good shower. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. We used the pool and it was lovely. Breakfast is good - self service if you want cereal and cold food, and if you want a cooked breakfast you order it. Highly recommended.

Set in an old house with rooms around a beautiful pateo, the Castelmar has lots of charm. We found it to be a great place to stay, just a five minute walk to the main square in beautiful Campeche. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Although ours didn't have a window, we found it comfortable. Contrary to the information on the site, the hotel does offer free private parking just meters from its front door. Altogether a brilliant stay. We loved the hotel, the city and the friendly restaurant across the street serving typical local food.

This hotel is not big.but hospitality is big.

This hotel is amazingly calm, peaceful and it is gorgeous. It's perfect for a short stay and make the most of the city. The rooms are perfectly clean and the temperature is always cool inside even without the air conditioner.Good job.

This hotel was like an oasis in the desert! As you can see, we gave it an "Excellent" on all counts & we do not grade easy. We are teachers! Only one final comment: The Hotel was not Clean; It Was immaculate!! There was staff continuously puttering about the place at all hours keeping it spiffy! Give it a 7-Star! And One Final Suggestion: Include Breakfast with the price. It would be a plus at a very low cost!

Las habitaciones eran muy ruidosas porque daban a la calle y las ventanas eran de madera. Además, la cama era muy corta, medían unos 180 cm de largo. Tenía que tener los pies fuera.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in der Innenstadt. Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Frühstück war nicht mit im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen.

De ligging van dit hotel is uitstekend! Binnen het historisch centrum. Alles is op loopafstand te bezichtigen. Er zijn een aantal bewaakte parkeerplaatsen voorzien voor hotelgasten schuin tegenover het hotel. Kamers worden netjes onderhouden door het kamerpersoneel. Mooi historisch gebouw met een mooi, klein zwembad.

Wij hebben 2 standaardkamers geboekt, 2 volwassen per kamer, die elk 125 US dollar per nacht kosten. Het dubbele bed is echt te klein om comfortabel te kunnen slapen en dat is echt onaanvaardbaar voor die prijs. Bovendien sliepen onze kinderen in een kamer naast de receptie. Conversaties aan de balie en telefoons (ook tijdens de nacht) verstoorden hun rust. We hebben een andere kamer gevraagd, maar het personeel aan de balie is echt niet klantgericht.
