Very comfortable bed (not always the case in Thailand). Water hot, wifi good, aircon good, fridge, desk, enough plugs. Hotel is located downtown, but in a quiet, non-touristy area. For digital nomads, there's a really excellent coffee shop (not a chain) with a garden in a small mall just round the corner. Facilities clean, but generic (with the exception of giant action figures in the lobby, which kids might like). 24/7 front desk is efficient.

I stay here because the staff was once very kind to me, retrieving a lost article. The same staff is still works here.
Everything is fine. Mattress is good (not too hard, not too soft). Quiet. Hot water, fridge, WiFi, aircon all fine. The windows open for fresh air. There is a desk. There are enough plugs. There is a reading light by the bed, which is nice.
There's an excellent coffee shop with a nice garden, Marmalett, to the right on Sri Chant, about a 10 minute walk.
Location is convenient to Khon Kaen hospital (and also the famous Tawandaeng concert/cocktail venue).

I chose the hotel for its location on the Bueng Kaen Nakhon Reservoir (the lake in the middle of town) and because I didn't know the neighborhood. If you are a jogger or runner, this location will be great for you, because there's a track around the entire lake. For me, the location was not that interesting.
The lobby is cute (hearts; bears). The rooms are biggish, a bit dark, but meet the baseline: Good aircon, hot water, good mattress, fridge, WiFi, desk, plugs (could be more). There's a light in the clothes closet (!!).
There is a very new and very trendy cafe ("Source") almost next door (seems to be Instagram-friendly, but good coffee, comfortable chairs, plugs).
The Charm Boutique Resort offers modern boutique accommodations with air conditioning in central Khon Kaen, a 10-minute drive from Central Shopping Center. It has free Wi-Fi and Thai massage services....
