Nice city. I went for work reasons.
Nice city. I went for work reasons. I think there aren't so many places to visit. The beach is quite far form the city centre, so i didn't visit it. People are extremely nice and helpful, in each and single occasion, but only very few speak English. This can be a little exhausting if you don't speak Turkish. The city is quite safe: you can walk at anytime, at least in the city centre and main neighborhoods. Unforgettable sunsets!

I drove from Istanbul to Izmir a scenic drive.
I drove from Istanbul to Izmir a scenic drive. Pier was a nice place to visit and dine by Mediterranean.
Those staying at Ontur hotel must have food at Erdogan Resturant just two mins walk. It is the only place available 24 hours in this vicinity. But beware portions are too big so order based on your appetite.
It is an absolutely wonderful and perfectly located hotel, with hospitable and accommodating staff! Amazing! Thank you soo much for such an amazing holiday, that I could have and fully enjoy thanks to you! Recommend anyone, visiting Izmir!
The hotel has a perfect location, in the heart of Izmir, by the seaside. Perfectly communicated with the rest of the city, thanks to nearby tramways and ship trams. Close to the big bazaar, Ataturk Museum, plenty of restos and cafes - I will come back definitely!
The hotel is located at the central position, near to the bus stop where bus ticket offices and shuttle bus service drop off. For food there are so many options around the hotel with a very affordable rate. Izmir's main local market area is also at walking distance. The sea side is also at walking distance. The hotel staff is very welcoming and supportive. Water coffee and tea are offered complementary. Breakfast starts at 7:00 am which is great.
The property was close to the station and bus stop from the bus terminal. It was in a street full of old hotels which had seen better days and better clientele, but it was close to everything, especially if you had an Izmir Card which covered all forms of public transport including ferries. The hotel was excellent as was breakfast and the staff were very helpful although lacking in English skills. The price was helpful as well.
The location is #1 reason for staying in this hotel. It's right smack in the middle of Alsancak and Konak Square, which for me are the 2 main interesting areas in Izmir. The hotel room and facilities were also up to standard - nothing to complain in that regard.
I mostly booked this hotel because of the balcony seating area. And although we spent most of our time in Alsancak, we enjoyed the walk from the hotel. The Izmir Kulture Park is minutes away.
