There was no water in the morning. I wasn't able to shower before I headed out the door.
The staff was exceedingly courteous & attentive. We were looking for something a bit more upscale, but the room was comfortable.
Funny smell in the bathroom, which was tiny. Felt a bit cramped in the living area.
the location was noisy not a quite and relaxed setting at all , the whole night honking of cars was going on and driving and bursts of crowds In the streets, every time I shut my eyes and dozed off I would be awaken again by sudden noise im disappointed and will never go back.
The location was perfect for attending Dreamforce - and the price manageable even for a visitor from a developing economy. The room was comfortable and clean, the shower hot and hard and the access to BART brillaint.
A bit too much traffic noise despite the double glazing.
This hotel had a great atmosphere. I liked that balance of modern touches with classic mid-century decor.
Lots of street noise in the rooms - constant honking! Also, very cozy room and bathroom. Plumbing in shower was quite loud.
Room was comfortable.
Had to logon to wifi each day plus lots of street noise during the day. Quieted at night.
The price was good. Right next to the Bart and cable car. They held our bags until we had to leave the city.
The bed was very stiff, and the room pretty small. But we were only sleeping there, so it wasn't a big deal.
Great location for shopping.
The lady at the desk couldn't find my reservation because she couldn't spell my last name. And she had my id right in front of her. And they didn't tell me I wear going to be charged for parking at check in, and at check out I was.

What I loved about The Pickwick Hotel was their location. Pretty convenient located near to Powell station and all the commercial area. Too close to Chinatown and Fishman market.
Unfortunately what I dislike was their facilities and comfort. Me and my friend received room 824 and from the 2 elevators that they have only one was working which we thought was sucks to wait a lot of time for the elevator or to take the stairs to get to the 8th floor. And also there was to many noise in the room and we did not know where it was coming from. Our room door was hard to open and a guy at the front desk was not really friendly (as they use to be on my experiences on another hotels). Regardless of their prices, they should try to get their facilities in a better conditions. I am not too sure if I would like to come back to The Pickwick Hotel on my next visit to SF.
Location is very good but the hotel requires refurbishment. The area is safe, nice shopping centers and some bars around. It is a good starting point for a city tour but the comfort of the hotel is not big. There was no noise from the outside at night.
We had an executive room on the top floor and it was still a bit small for two and bathroom was also very small. The first night we could not sleep due to the noise from the ventilation system but next day the technician came and fortunately managed to fix it. Finding a parking for less than USD30 is almost impossible within a walking distance.
In the headline
Staff excellent but paying for parking in the car park 40 dollars per day i think is crazy
Based upon ratings and descriptions, I thought it would be a bit more... Comfortable. And the "marble soaking tub" was a normal bath tub. It was nice, but not what was described and really wasn't much cheaper than hotels closer to the nice areas
The location was ideal for a conference at the Moscone Center as well as shopping and eating.
The internet was horrible. I needed to work in my room a few times and literally logged one 8 times in an hour. I contacted to desk and the reset the hotspot (across from my room) and no changes. Bring an aircard or work down the street at Starbucks.
The affiliated Soma bar and restaurant was a plus. Beds were comfortable
A lot of the rooms were adjacent to next doors industrial air conditioning units. No curtains, so a lie in was difficult with the light and noise.
Hotel is fine, clean& rooms comfortable. No breakfast but great cafe around corner. Fridge in room. Beside a big shopping mall. Gym is ok. Close by for main transport links.
Not the hotel's fault but very noisy street, main road lots of fire trucks! No air-con so had windows open. Also lots of homeless but we didn't feel unsafe.
We got a very good price which added to the experience. We enjoyed the proximity to Somas' and thought the accommodations better than standard.
Our room faced 5th St which was very noisy and busy all night followed by some lunatic howling to the moon from 5am until they hauled him off. However, we could have closed our open windows which we both appreciated and elected not to do.
Very run down. The elevator was antiquated and the plaster was feeling off the walls of the bedroom - not what one would expect at this price!
the staff were super helpful
the noise the rooms were expensive for what you got
Good location and clean
If you're in a room next to the elevator and you're a light sleeper the noise might bother you
Perfect location in the very center of the city, near metro, valet parking in the same building, friendly personnel, clean rooms
a little bit small space for big suitcases in the room
Location was the key
Walls were very thin
Close to event
Warm rooms and noisy at night with windows open.
