Room was advertised as an "Executive King Room" but was extremely small, and the bathroom minuscule.
I've never experienced such poor quality for this money.
Paid cash for parking, $40. Week later charged my card another $40 for parking. Called and asked for refund was told there's nothing they can do.
Nice room, good bed. Quiet floor.
There was considerable A/C noise from machinery outside the building. Also noisy trash trucks.
The location is central and nice
The WIFI does not work most of the time and gets interrupted very frequently. Many times does not even work.
Location and bed
Wifi was inconsistent
Friendly staff. Everything we expected in a hotel and more when upgraded!
WiFi signal a little shaky, but not huge deal. Walls not thin, but still thin enough to hear arguing couple next door. (We could have complained, but just rode it out by choice.)
Decent size rooms in ok condition very close to Union square.
Parking was horrible - over $55 pr night for an SUV as "hotel special price" - we arrived one hour before normal check-in and the parking guard requested us to pay additional $7 which we didnt get a reciept for.
We loved the bed. Most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. We also had received a beautiful bottle of wine & chocolates upon getting to our room as the Pickwick new it was our honeymoon. Lovely gesture. The bathroom was immaculate and well cleaned.
We did not know fully what we had gotten into with the area, and then were absolutely happy with everything from the moment we walked in the from door to when we left. Great room, great service, really enjoyable all around experience! Would come back!
They only gave us chocolates on the first day
The hotel was a bit older but remodeled. For the price I paid it was definitely worth it due to location.
Pictures were a little enhanced compared to what it looks like.
Big windows, comfortable bed, GREAT bathtub.
The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked decent.
For what this cost I was very disappointed in the hotel all together, it looked as if it was falling apart, to get in and out of the bathroom in the room was a challenge, the door was always stuck. I'm 100% disabled veteran and they had a military discount but would not honor it because I went thru booking.com, the bed was nice but the stucko was coming off the walls and ceiling, it was very loud which really did not bother us, I think its right around the corner from the fire house which it seemed like every 10-15 minutes the trucks and sirens were heading out. Very disappointed in the hotel for the cost. I've been in better conditioned motel 6.
Outstanding location within walking distance to most of the Union Square area. The staff was most helpful.
The food at the SOMA was just average. Amenities such as the business center were not well advertised.
From start to finish everything was perfect. Great staff. Rooms weren't overly big but they were clean and beds were very comfortable.
Beds were clean and comfortable. Location on the 7th floor was great.
No individual room air controls. It was VERY warm and stuffy in the room overnight! Price was rather high given that there weren't many luxury amenities.
Close to convention center. Excellent restaurant area.
We like the fun and funky hotel option when traveling but This place is getting pretty run down. Photos don't show the rough edges. It's time for a major remodel. Water pressure on the 8th floor is nearly non existent. Pricey considering the conditions of the facilities
The location is really hard to beat - whilst many believe Union Square is the place to be, SoMa really is the growing cultural, shopping, nightlife and sporting side of the city.
It's a bit 'no frills' - the mini bar is empty so BYO and pack your trainers if you want a work-out, I didn't see a fitness centre.
Clean, historic hotel. Good location. Walkable to good shopping, cafes and restaurants
Elevator was loud. Front desk staff not friendly . Parking very expensive
rooms are small, beds are comfortable. Great location near shopping, Union Square, BART Powell station, Amtrak bus stop. Reasonably quiet. Helpful front desk.
prices seem a little high compared to other nearby hotels.
The room was very nice, executive king. The staff was great. The food a the restaurant was excellent.
It was pretty much in the heart of union square. A bit noisy but for the most part a well worth it hotel
The beds were pretty squeaky. And the noise level a little high but again it was nicely staff and the size of the room for a weekend get away was perfect
This hotel is in a GREAT location!! WE love hanging out at the Ferry Landing and the Union Square area, and this hotel was perfect for theses locations!!!
Well, just about all of the older remodeled hotels are not so spacious, but this is understandable due to the way San Francisco was built . . .
