Check ins are Saturday to Saturday Sit right down with your Margarita (or Mock-a-rita) and enjoy “The Salted Rim”. Located in a beautiful townhome community on the Intercoastal Waterway side of North Topsail Beach, Topsail Island “The Salted Rim” is the perfect place for family and friends to gather. This adorable 3 bedroom, 2 bath property will feel like a home away from home. The townhome community of Bermuda Landing has a nice size community pool and a dock to fish from or set out a crab trap for a special treat with dinner. You can even put in a flat bottom boat right into the morass to investigate the salt marsh and be eye to eye with a blue heron or see the river otters play. It’s only a quick 2-mile drive, golf cart ride or even walk to the closest public beach access. All you need to do is head straight down 11th street and you are at the Ocean! You can’t get more wholesome than allowing your family the pleasure of the beach all day and helping to contribute to dinner later that afternoon.

Topsail Island is called "Mayberry by the Sea". If you are lucky enough or old enough to remember the Andy Griffith show you will understand what that means. North Topsail Beach is mainly residential, and short drive for the hustle and bustle of Surf City. On this part of the Island, you can just sit back, and relax while the beaches wash away the stress of everyday life. You and your family can visit the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital where you can see the hard work, they put in rescuing injured Sea Turtles to one day be released back into the Ocean. Spend an hour or so going through the "Missiles and More" museum learning about Topsail's rich history: Operation Bumblebee, the neighboring Marine Corp base(s) and Pirates. It is said that Blackbeard launched some of his attacks from the shallow inlets of Topsail Island, and legend has it that Topsail Island was named by merchant captains who learned to spot the highest masts (also known as: Tops’ls), of the pirate ships in order to outrun the looters. But, of course, what you are really here for are the beautiful, unspoiled wide sandy beaches. Whether you are in North Topsail Beach to catch rays or catch some fish both can easily be accomplished. The warm ocean water will welcome you to take a dip. Our beaches are known for finding treasure, maybe not pirate's gold but you can certainly find some shells, shark's teeth and if you are luck a beautiful piece of frosted sea glass.
