This very cute hotel with a beautiful facade full of flowers is in a quiet street slightly out of the centre of town, but as taxis are very cheap and easy to book it was perfect. The woman greeted us with warmth and we managed communication fine with some help of google. She helped us book a great tour and upgraded us to a room with a balcony. A.c., warm water and fridge with bottled water were all there an functioning

Tourism in Can Tho revolves around the river and associated events. We, as seasoned Vietnam travellers (26 months in the last 15 years), did not do what most travellers on their first visit would deem necessary - an early morning tour of the floating markets (5am start) would seem to be very popular. If you do not fancy an early start, try hiring a 4-seat sampan for a 2-hour morning leisurely cruise up the river to the site of the floating market where you will still see life on the river, but without the hustle and bustle - you can negotiate a 2-hour cruise for 250,000 VND - bargain hard, but if not successful, retire with a smile and try again later - four moored waiting sampans and only one set of tourists makes it a buyer's 'market',
There are three large, moored, floating restaurants at the pier - they seemed very popular each evening, but maybe not so popular with those travelling on a limited budget - check menu prices before committing.
An interesting place to visit (free) is the original French administration prison (near the Ninh Kieu Footbridge) which was used initially by the French to incarcerate troublesome political activists, and after 1954 by the South Vietnanese government for similar purposes, and finally by the newly-reunified-Vietnam government after the fall of the South Vietnamese government at the end of the Vietnam War in 1975. The original French overnight leg-iron restraints would appear to have remained in use by all the various administrations wanting to detain their unwanted activists!!!

Can Tho a bustling riverside destination.
Can Tho a bustling riverside destination. Lots to do in and around Can Tho. If its going for an early boat ride for the floating markets as you watch the sunrise, followed by spending time relaxing at a cafe enjoying good coffee to enjoying walking street of a night time to see it lit up and lively. Personally I enjoyed Can Tho. If I need a break from beach and city its a great place to lose yourself for a couple of days.

The staff make you feel so welcome, nothing is ever a problem for the staff.
We have stayed in the Nam Bo several times now, and all of the rooms we have been given are very comfortable.
You feel like part of the family when you stay at the Nam Bo Hotel.
The location is the best, plenty going on along the riverside, a truly great spot.

Points of tourism interest are not all located in Cantho, but scattered all around Mekong delta (let’s say radius 2 or 3 hours drive) so it’s important to siriously plan the stay in this area, otherwise improvisation leads to waste of time.

Our day trip was interesting and the guide good.
Our day trip was interesting and the guide good. The rivers were full of plastic rubbish and the floating markets are disappearing. There were more tourist boats than traders so it did not feel like an authentic experience.

Very commercial place that you find more tourists than anywhere else. Other than floating market, other experiences were boring. A night market with made in china clothes and low quality foods, a walking street with western fusion dishes, some workshops for tourists to see local products in the making but nothing very impressive
Superfriendly staff, helped us out before arrival to sort out daytrips to the floating market, and the Mekong Delta from the homestay. Nice scenic terrace overlooking a small river and with a small jetty so that one can aboard a boat to visit the floating markets.
Food menu is brilliant, and while the homestay is in quite a remote location, it is not necessary to take a taxi ride for dinner into Can Tho town, as their kitchen will prepare you a truly sumptuous Vietnamese meal from their menu.
The property is located in a quiet residential area outside of Can Tho. Our cabin was clean, private, and well stocked with everything we could need. The host, Human, is so helpful and available for whatever you need. ALL meals were included, and Human’s mother cooks some of the best traditional Vietnamese food! Human also arranged for and accompanied us on our tours of the floating market, the land market, and the delta. I cannot say enough good things about this homestay.
Functional, quiet, spacious, comfortable clean hotel with two lovely, helpful young women at the reception. There is a large living room (you can comfortably work on the computer, play games, read books...), a balcony, a big kitchen with every equipment. The room was perfectly air-conditioned and the toilets were clean. They have bicycles for free (if use in the city - to 3 hours Or daily rent for all-day trips)
You want to stay here for a long time.
I highly recommend
It's obviously a really nice hotel but I was a little concerned that it was so far away from the downtown tourist area. It turns out that it's in a great location with a great "restaurant row" for locals, not tourists, literally across the street and a new mall with lots of restaurants next door. Also a local market is a short walk away. In addition the staff was very helpful especially the woman at the tour desk who helped us with a customized floating market tour.
We loved the facilities. They resemble a Vietnamese village, with extremely well-decorated, cared for, and very comfortable surroundings. The location is good, close to Can Tho, but in a quiet area. Good breakfast buffet. Super friendly people. Very comfortable rooms. The highlight is the atmosphere. Plus, they offer free bicycles, massage chairs, and a nice swimming pool. We were there at Christmas, and they prepared a special menu and live music.
Service at the Victoria Can Tho was fantastic the staff were very attentive and we had two private boat trips from there own pier at great price and guide gave us great insight into the local area on the Mekong Delta. Myself and my wife are both Coeliac's (Gluten Free diet ) and they had bread for us for breakfast. I would recommend this hotel anyone heading to Can Tho.
The hotel was nice but not in downtown area. It’s about 20 min walk over the bridge to town centre but there are restaurants and ATMs close by. Lovely staff who helped us get a floating market tour for the morning. They also do laundry. Young man behind counter speaks some English and Google translate is helpful.
Wow, just wow. Everything about this hotel was excellent. Our room was so beautifully appointed and presented, great staff, easy check in, perfect location.
Note that the floating markets only occur in the very early morning,
The street food a block from the hotel was seafood based and yum!
Lea and Olivier are the best hosts you can hope for.
They will make you feel at home and give you all the information you need to have the best time in Can Tho. They both speak perfectly English and French and are always willing to make you discover the Vietnamese culture. A must in Can Tho
The staff was really nice and helpful. They can arrange bus tickets and tours for your really easily. He gave us advice on where to eat in Can Tho.
The hotel is located between the pier for the floating market tours and the main streets of Can Tho.
For the price, the services were good.
Trang managing the hôtel is exceptionnel helping and coordinating my trip in Can Tho, visits, bus, answering all questions perfectly. English speaker. Very good price/quality ratio for Vietnamese standards. Good location center Can Tho. Very quite hôtel in small street to sleep.
By far, one of my favourite budget hotels in Can Tho.
We had a free upgrade to a vip room on the 7th floor, with lovely garden balcony,
Everything worked well in the clean rooms and the staff are always friendly,
Great location.
We will certainly stay here again,
Room its clean, breakfast are ok.. but wish can be have more choices. staff its nice and helpful, Thanks to Mr.Security for the hospitality and watch my Car during parking at outside hotel.
It’s a modern hotel in a good location, opposite one of the only cocktail bars in Can Tho. The reception team were really helpful and organised the bus to pick us up when we left.
Wow what a fantastic hotel wouldn’t stay any where else whilst on Can Tho. The staff could not do enough for you well done to all at the Sheraton Can Tho we will be back
Good overall and the staff was really welcoming, friendly and informative. The hotel staff were magnificent going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
