Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Bakushuku Den Guest House Brew is a home away from home and the only sad thing is that it is so nice with the Bakushuku Den Family that you never want to leave again and once you are leaving you want to return right away. That is at least how I felt. Located in Mitsu it is well surrounded by equally beautiful and heart warming cafés and restaurants. Everyone is super welcoming and keen to help with requests and questions. There is coffee and tea and a cute terrace where you can enjoy your coffee and or tea in the mornings. すばらしかった
The private onsen with sea view was amazing. The room itself was nice as well, it was a small tatami room and there's also a balcony next to the bath. We had dinner at the restaurant which was good and very reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and helpful. In the hallway and from outside it's visible that everything is a bit older already, but that didn't bother us, the room and bath are well maintained and renovated I assume.
Shimpei and his family are absolutely lovely. Shimpei would also go out of his way to help you including getting to places and calling tour guides. The guest house is at a great location, walking distance to Dogo Onsen with good transport links. There was also free tea/ coffee/ biscuits and amazing service throughout my stay.
Perfect breakfast! Need lots of time to get to try everything! lovely onsen, lovely room! we have dinner set as well, which was wonderful! had a wonderful time!
We were very impressed by the hotel ,its location and its value for money . The onsen was an added bonus . Above all the staff were very friendly and helpful , we would like to mention one in particular ,Asuza , she was so approachable and friendly ,she went out her way to arrange a special meal for a birthday celebration . She is a credit to Dormy Inn.
Shimpei-san has made a fantastic atmosphere at Cinnamon. A warm rustic common area with all the amenities you need and more. I think Guest Houses are very dependent on the people who come, but the base is extremely important and Cinnamon is fantastic!
The best stay we have had in Japan. From start to finish it was amazing. Out of this world staff who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
Food was a big highlight and the dinner service was fantastic.
Lovely onsens with free beer and ice cream.
The owner kindly recommended a place to go for dinner and showed us where it was on a map, explained how to buy tickets for Dogo Onsen and prepared a very Japanese style breakfast for us. A great experience to stay in a Japanese style inn
The brewery made us chose the guest house and we enjoyed tasting the beer. Great quality. Also a simple curry dish was offered at the bar, tasty and it saved us going out for dinner after a long day. The guest house is upstairs of the bar and kindly offers earplugs due to the bar downstairs but we found the traffic was more of a disturbance during the night. Well, if you know you just use earplugs and then it is not a problem. Very convenient local train takes you straight into the city
