We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The breakfast menu offered a wide selection of options and was cooked to perfection with wonderful ingredients. The hotel has a list of their food suppliers on display and this food provenance is reflected in the wonderful freshly cooked dinners we enjoyed. The main courses were all large portions and very satisfying. The bar had an excellent selection of scottish gins all well worth trying. The room was very comfortable and well appointed and very clean with plenty of tea and coffee supplies. The hosts Irene and Scott are very friendly and made us very welcome.

The Cuilfail je tradiční rodinný hostinec z 19. století, který se nachází kousek od břehu jezera Loch Melfort. Nabízí bar, restauraci, bezplatné parkování a Wi-Fi zdarma. Enjoyed the breakfast and evening meal was superb. Small cosy bar with good selection of beer and whisky. Nice quiet location but not far from Oban. scenery was exceptional in this area. Would highly recommend this hotel.
