The location is excellent, right in the middle of the holiday village of Thorpeness which is quaint, busy in the day and quiet at night. The restaurant is busy , though and worth booking. The rooms are lovely, very individual, well thought out and exceptionally clean, warm and welcoming. Tea and coffee facilities were good quality. The staff are truly lovely, friendly but not over friendly and the food was excellent. Their breakfast choices are wonderfully eclectic and locally sourced. We love this place and return regularly.

The studio was a comfortable fully equipped room which provided an excellent base to explore Suffolk. The kitchenette had everything required for a comfortable stay including a dishwasher. Access to the laundry was brilliant as well as having access to a fan as the weather was mild. The beds were comfortable and parking onsite a bonus. There was a good information pack including a map of the footpaths around the area making early morning walking delightful. The studio came with milk, bread, cereal etc which was very appreciated. The surrounding villages are beautiful and our time in Suffolk was wonderful.

Professional and courteous staff, large comfortable clean room, decorated on theme of local coastal village, Thorpeness. Loved the yachts on some of the furnishings. Delicious, well presented dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend.

Com vistas maravilhosas dos vales Stour e Box, esta pousada privativa está situada em uma colina na pitoresca vila de Stoke-by-Nayland, na fronteira de Essex e Suffolk. Breakfasts were very good , made with local produce, I think . (apart from the baked beans). The staff were friendly and prompt. Very impressed. The rooms were lovely and quiet, not too close to the pub.

Large and comfortable room, super king-size bed, amazing food in the restaurant and the friendliest, most welcoming staff you could hope for. Dog friendly too. We'll definitely be back for more.
