Situated in a former 18th-century wine estate, this luxury hotel overlooks vineyards and the Douro Valley. Perfect location. Isolated from the touristy places right outside. It was an oasis. I can not imagine staying anywhere else in Pinhao. It made the entire experience special.

With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is situated 800 metres from Lamego’s centre. Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner. The hotel is beautiful. Our room was clean and spacious with so many little added touches. The hotel staff is one of the friendliest and most helpful I have ever met. Goncalo and Bruna at reception helped us plan our activities. They were so patient with us as we tried to pick what to do. I had a massage at the spa with Jessica and it was wonderful. The morning breakfast is absolutely delicious and the staff so nice and ready to help you start your day. I love this hotel so much, we will return in the spring! Highly recommend!

Moinhos do Paiva is set in Castelo de Paiva and features a private pool and mountain views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Nuno is an outstanding host. He seems to have a special worldview. His place looks like a piece of heaven, he welcomed us with open arms, gave us recommendations around the village, allowed us to use all the facilities - unlimited pool, kitchen and public living room, check out until 2pm with an elaborate breakfast. He suggested us to stay even after checking out to use these facilities. The environment gives quality time with nature, we rested and enjoyed. Only one minor thing-the road to the place includes sharp descents with narrow road-alleys that only good drivers can manage. Thank you for the time in Paradise Nuno. We will definitely come back to stay.
