The moment you step foot in the cozy 'lobby', you are made to feel right at home. It feels more like visiting a distant relative, than checking into a hotel. We arrived after regular check-in time, and still we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and chatted for half an hour - what a difference to what you are used to. This approach directly set the tone for the rest of the stay, and I have not come across a better combination of privacy and luxury, and such a personal touch. During the whole stay, the hosts were super helpful, friendly and could not have made us feel more welcome. The rooms are nicely decorated, beds very comfortable, the view is phenomenal and the breakfast is extensive. It was a lovely experience having it served in the room, with a view over Mariazell and the valley. We had some special requests, and they were more than fulfilled, making this a truly memorable weekend. From the hotel, you get to the center of Mariazell within minutes on foot, but getting to the hotel by car is equally easy, making it a great starting point for excursions into the region.

The rooms were very clean, the furnitures, bathroom, windows, everything was high quality material. The rooms were very quiet, the beds are comfortable. The staff was very kind and flexible when we wanted to change the room, so that our rooms with the kids will be close to each other. The dinner was also delicious.

JUFA Hotel Erlaufsee ligger bara 500 meter från skidområdet Bürgeralpe och bredvid ett sportcenter, 2 km från Mariazells centrum. Hotellet har även en spaavdelning. We spent two nights here in late October. I liked the location, it was quiet and perfect for relaxing after hiking. It was worth ordering the buffet dinner at the hotel in addition to the accommodation. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful. We are going to come back for sure.

I like the location in quite part of the village. Great family hotel very kind people, great breakfast.

Nice and clean room, probably renovated lately. Hotel is located in the center of the city just above the church. Host is very helpful and offered a garage for bikes (for a 10 EUR fee). Dinner in the hotel restaurant was a decent one.
