It was relaxing having the view with the private hot spring. The room was as described. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious.

Club Jozankei berjarak 5 km dari Danau Sapporo, menawarkan kamar-kamar yang luas dengan lantai tatami (anyaman jerami), tempat tidur bergaya Barat, dan internet kabel gratis. This was the perfect place to enjoy the traditional ryokan experience in an upscale and comfortable setting. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. They worked through the language barrier to update our stay when our trip changed and explain the bus schedule to us. Facilites were luxurious and the dinner was incredible! I wish we could have stayed for more than 1 night in order to fully enjoy the property and surrounding area but 100% recommend to book. I will go out of my way to return my next time in Hokkaido!

The room was gorgeous and authentic, the food was phenomenal, and the views and location were straight from your dreams.

Offering indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and a sauna, Shogetsu Grand Hotel features Western and Japanese-style rooms with a view of the gorge. Everything was great, from the room, room size, onsen, food, lounge, and price. The room is spacious compared to many other japanese style room elsewhere and it's also very clean and comfortable. We had the half-board booking and both the dinner and breskfast were extraordinary. Both were kaiseki course meal with all kinds of food locally produced. We had more than enough food. Since we were traveling in a group of a few couples, we found the lounge area and the lounge snacks and drinks to be perfect to accommodate groups. There were honey tasting, beers, and after dinner snacks which were a perfect setting to just chill and hangout. Lastly, the hotel offer shuttle bus back to sapporo in the morning. The location is also good as it is a short walk to the Jozankei small town and to the bus stop.

The property was very clean and comfortable. There were many amenities that we enjoyed during our short stay. We also appreciated that there was always something for us to do - eat, relax, explore the hotel and surrounding area.
