He did everything in his power - and even a little more - to make everything proceed smoothly, and let us enjoy the trip. He helped us tremendously - from little things, like providing e.g. timetables before the stay, through taking care of our luggage well before expected check-in time and accepting our minor requests, to giving us tips on where is the best place to eat in the area and what are the places to see. I've never expected to meet a person so committed to make us love the stay in Bohinj. And that he did. The area is beautiful, it has everything one needs on a trip. Our favorite was the ice cream place just around the corner - cheap and delicious! Dusan also provided us with free bikes, and the biking infrastructure around the area (especially towards Bohinj lake) is great. We were mostly hiking, and the location 5 minutes from the main bus stop (and 7 minutes from Danica camp) made it easy to access the popular trails and attractions (e.g. Vogel and Visevnik, but we also made a trip to Triglav with only public transport; there is also good communication to Bled and Ljubljana). If you are still wondering whether Slovenia (and Bohinj) is the right place to spend the vacation - the nature is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. Casa Bohinj is a great starting point for this. In terms of accomodation itself - don't let the photos trick you. When we first viewed them, we thought that the room was cramped - well, no avoiding the fact that it isn't the most spacious room we've seen, but it didn't feel small to us once we arrived. There are many drawers, shelves and cabinets which easily fit stuff of three adults with excess, and as we initially planned the trip for 4 people, we feel that we could easily accommodate another person. We weren't really needy in that respect, as a mostly hiking group.

It combines characteristics from the original building era (1881 😱) with 1950 furniture and a fully modern and refurbished bathroom as well as all the modern appliances in the kitchen etc. The host is very friendly and helpful. It is in a quiet small village, close (by car) to Bled, Vintgar etc. When you go outside the domain, you've got an astonishing view of the Alps quite close. You have a lovely garden where you can eat at your own table near the house and have a very cosy gazebo with it's own fairy lights.

Špik Alpine Wellness Hotel ligt in Gozd Martuljek, op 5 km van Kranjska Gora en beschikt over een spa- en wellnesscentrum met zwembaden en sauna's. Fijne kamer, met ook een mooie berg, terwijl ik zonder uitzicht had geboekt , Prachtig zwembad, fijn ligbedden buiten in zon met parasol. Ontbijt en Diner steeds goed verzorgd, lekker. De natuur ook al vlakbij het hotel is echt fantastisch. 2x een hert gezien.

Holiday House Radovna Bled is voorzien van een restaurant en accommodatie met een tuin, een terras en een casino. Kasteel van Bled ligt op 5 km. The location is good, close by but not in the heart of it, so we enjoyed the silence. The place is big enough for a family of 5. It's clean and comfy

Apartments and Wellness in Farmhouse Tubej ligt op een rustige locatie in een pittoresk dorpje Ravne v Bohinju, midden in de Bohinj-vallei, in de natuur in de buurt van het bos en de weilanden. Amazing, very clean apartment with perfect view and very friendly owners. .Close both to Bled and Bohinj Lakes The owners have goats and donkey and were super kind to let our kids to pet the animals.
