The safe in my room didn't work but other than that can't complain about anything else.

Very good location, next to a ski rental shop and very close to the ski lifts in Pas De La Casa. Easy to get out of the ski lockers at the hotel to the lifts. Breakfast spread was okay and room was clean and of a decent size. Staff were friendly. For the price we paid and last minute booking the hotel met our expectations.

I generally only leave reviews when my experience has either been dreadful or excellent. The owners of Hotel Kandahar were, thankfully, amazing. The location is perfect, with short walks to 3 x different chair lifts. The ski locker room is on the same floor as Reception, which makes the chore of returning and collecting your ski's so much easier. Warm, clean, friendly, helpful, efficient. Everything you hope for when booking a hotel. Although centrally locatedm there is no encroachment of noise from outside into the communal spaces and bedrooms. The restaurant is a delight. Breakfast has everything you could want every morning, and more. Waiters/esses clearing your plates as you work through the different types of breakfast, hot buffet, pastries, fruit platters. Dinner was table service, so refreshing from so many buffet services. Choices of three different starters and mains plus a childs option. Followed by a wast dessert selection to choose from plus yoghurts and icecream. You can order drinks from the maitre d' and if you choose a bottle of wine and dont drink it all, they keep it for you and put it back on your table for the next night. Most guests used the hotel lounge to spend time pre or post dinner. Lots of families, sitting together chatting or palying cards etc. Our family fit right in but I can imagine those looking for more to do of an evening, maybe entertainment for you and/or children, this is probably not the place for you.

Bed was on the hard side. Struggled to sleep well as had to turn over frequently as body would go numb.

The location is incredible. A few steps from the main door and you are on the slopes. Direct access to all slopes, with ski storage and lockers included. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Perfect location. Would highly recommend

noisy at night, which was due to other clients at the hotel and from outside, but not a major issue. the spa was shut one of the days. the breakfast was good, but slightly on the basic side (lacked musli, granola, not much yoghurt variety, hot boiled eggs, and cook to order options (omelettes, pancakes)).

right next to ski slopes. room was as expected. nice bathroom in the room. spa was good quality and not pricey.

Restaurant area is too small for quantity of people in the hotel, breakfast is quite good, simple. Dinners are only from menu with almost only French cuisine, difficult to choose something vegetarian or at least healthy style food, potato is everywhere. Ski lockers are in cold place with no dryers really working, so was quite unpleasant to find wet boots next morning after skiing.

Spa was nice, approachable stuff and big rooms. Bar very spacious and with nice drinks, gin-tonics especially

Excellent location, good value for bed and breakfast

The dinner was ok, but wasn't knockout (although the presentation was very good) E.g. the thai style noodles were just plain noodles with some peppers and a tiny bit of spice, and most accompaniments were just boiled carrots or green beans) - Don't want to criticize too much as it was acceptable and good value at the included price, but I think if they made an extra push on the dinner, it would really benefit. If we stayed again, would probably go for bed and breakfast, and eat out in the evening as there is plenty of choice around. The coffee machine at breakfast needs a serious upgrade as the coffee it produces is very weak - coffee coloured hot water

Great location, just a short walk to the slope, ski locker and changing room leads directly out without having to trudge through the lobby. Breakfast was excellent, very wide choice of croissant, scrambled egg, bacon, fruit, yoghurt, local hams and cheese. Room was very comfortable and hotel was not noisy. Kettle in the room (make your own coffee as the breakfast coffee is terrible).

The rooms are very well equipped, bathroom is clean and even has a bath tube. They offer an excellent breakfast & the location is just perfect to jump out of bed and start skiing right away. We were able to take a shower after skiing on the day of check out at an extra bathroom they have availble for customers.

For a 4 star, I would say the room, although very pleasant, was abit basic. however, value for money wise it was a good place to be.

Best location in Pas! Great spa, €13 but worth every penny. Breakfast was reasonable with a decent variety. Staff were very helpful with every request.

We have had a family room and a lot of things did not match our expectations for a 460€ a night 4 star hotel. The breakfast is really poor and outdated as the hotel also is. Would not recommend this place After check in I directly presented my disappointment, also after 1 night with the director and asked for a check out and refund. After this the kindness was away(from director and manager), this is strange in my perception, we are still guests who paid a high amount plus we were not happy. Booking tried to mediate but nothing happened or no gesture from the hotel. What’s good from the hotel: location, ski room, spa (but you have to pay extra) reception staff was kind but could not help and the croissants where very delicious

Disappointing and Insensitive Handling of Allergies and Family Needs
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Triple Room
    • Stayed 3 nights

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I regret to inform potential guests of our extremely disappointing experience at Hotel Kandahar, particularly concerning the handling of dietary allergies and family needs. Our primary concern was the hotel's inability to properly accommodate my wife's dietary allergies. Despite prior notification, the staff failed to provide safe and suitable food options. This oversight led to immediate health issues for my wife, a situation that was both distressing and avoidable. The response to this situation was shockingly inadequate. When we brought up these health concerns, the staff, including the hotel director, reacted with a lack of empathy and professionalism. The director's behavior was especially troubling, marked by aggression and an evident disregard for our situation. Furthermore, the suggestion by the hotel director that my wife should eat separately from our 5-year-old child was not only impractical but also deeply insensitive. This expectation, along with their overall handling of our concerns, made us feel utterly unwelcome and disrespected. Consequently, we chose to avoid the hotel's breakfast service for the remainder of our stay. Another disturbing incident involved a mix-up with personal identification documents regarding ski forfaits. The hotel mistakenly presented us with the identification of another guest, raising serious concerns about privacy and attention to detail. Although the hotel offered a refund for the breakfast service as a gesture, it falls short of addressing the gravity of our experience. This amount does not serve as an acknowledgment of their shortcomings or as an apology for the distress caused. In light of these incidents, I cannot in good conscience recommend Hotel Kandahar to other guests. The lack of proper care for dietary allergies, combined with the insensitive treatment of our family's needs, are major detriments for anyone considering a stay here.

    The location is good.
