The hotel is in a great location, short walking distance to metro and taxi is also available for a reasonable price. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Lovely pool area.

Children didnt like the salty pool

Location was very central to the tourist attractions we have planned seeing. Hotel food and beverage Manager called Summer K was very attentive to our children’s dietary requirements and ensured they were well catered for. Exceptional service

I cannot name one thing that I did not like.

I must compliment the staff, from the doorman, front desk, cleaning staff to the managerial staff, they were all very professional, and could not do enough to make our stay better. The room was very clean and comfortable with an amazing view, the breakfast selection was very comprehensive. The outdoor pool was a great area, lots of sunbeds, and the lunch we had there was very good. I cannot fault this hotel in any way.

The furniture is a bit outdated. So my first impression was soso, but the service made absolutely up for it.

The service is outstanding! They were super kind to offer us a late check-out at 5pm so we could enjoy the pool for the day before our departure. The pool is very nice and they serve ice cold towels for refreshment. All staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offers everything you can think of.

they hold an advance payment amount from your credit card. sometimes it's inconvenient. I think keeping deposits is unnecessary.

prime location. close to metro. helpful front desk. check in was smooth. room has good views of sheikh zayed road, dubai mall and burj khalifa. room is nicely appointed. everything is just right with all the amenities. super fast elevators. in room dining foods are well served and taste great. nice pool area - little busy though. separate mens gym, locker room, steam, sauna snd hot+cold jacuzzi. very nice, clean and relaxing. horizon club zone area, gym and cterrace is very beautiful. auto connect fast wifi. use the Shangri-la app. shang garden restaurant has unique and tasty dishes. this hotel has many beautiful photo spots. don't miss them.

Would be good to have a kids club or kids hang out area. Pool gets very busy and difficult to get sunbeds. Breakfast at dunes cafe a bit chaotic and understaffed, we much preferred breakfast at horizon. Shang palace overpriced for the food but service was great. Rooms are not very sound proof.

Horizon club staff very friendly, especially Keith who made my kids feel very welcomed. Location great. Rooms are good size and clean and comfortable. Lovely hotel overall

The furniture in the room was a bit old and the overall decor even though good but is of a style that is 20 years old. The size of the room is considered small for this hotel level and price. The swimming pool area is small considering the size of the hotel, and the service there is quite slow. Therefore the value for the money spent in my view is not so good and there are similar options in quality and service for a lesser price!

The food in the Vietnamese restaurant was quite average, I expected something better, especially considering the prices.

Exceptional treatment by everyone from the staff, beautiful rooms, great view from the rooftop and also a wonderful breakfast with great variety of products, all of them good quality.
