Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We were greeted with glasses of fresh orange juice, and there were special cakes in our room. We loved the colonial building which had been very sympathetically renovated; the location which was quiet but only a short walk to the main square; the cute breakfast room which had wood burning stove, where the staff cooked everything, including homemade bread, scones and banana bread. Breakfast was excellent, the best we had been offered in six weeks of travelling around the country. Lovely bread, eggs, avocado, homemade jam , banana bread and tons of fresh orange juice. The staff are passionate about the food and also offer dinner in the evenings too; all lovingly prepared. The tiny restarant is very intimate, you have the impression you are eating in someone's house. The bed was large and comfortable.

United States of AmericaThey could definitely cut back on the amount of bread served at breakfast. Along with fresh squeezed OJ, fruit, cheese, ham and eggs cooked to order, it is a lot of food!
Sergio is a wonderful manager and it was so helpful that he can speak English! He answered all my questions and suggested several things to do that we enjoyed. Diego, their chef, prepared a great dinner for us one of the nights. We would definitely stay again!

Lovely room facing the small courtyard in a century old building. Breakfast is superb in the tiny restaurant, eggs cooked on the antique woodstove!

United States of AmericaWe visited in early December and there was no AC or fan in the room, so it was quite stuffy / hot every night. We kept the window and door open to bring in cool air as much as possible, but it wasn't enough to offset the daytime heat. To be fair, we didn't ask if they had a fan on hand so it's possible they could have provided one, but I think it would help for them to provide them in the rooms in the summer.
I loved this hotel! It was beautiful, peaceful, comfortable and clean. They served a great breakfast every morning - not as large / varied as some other places I stayed, but this was ultimately my favorite on the trip as everything tasted fresh and homemade. Cachi is small but this was still a great location, close to many bars / restaurants and the main square. No dedicated parking lot but there was plenty of parking on the street. For me, the best part was the adorable cat who lives on the property - she was so sweet and friendly, and visited our room every day for some water from the sink and to relax on the bed with us for a bit. Note, they accept both card and cash, but there is a slight upcharge of about 10% for card. We didn't mind paying the extra for card but if you're watching your budget, make sure to bring cash!

United Kingdomnothing, everything was amazing
the best place to stay in Cachi. Breakfast is amazing, we got greeted with fresh orange juice when we arrived. Everything was perfect. The host is super lovely and helpful. Couldn’t recommend this more! There is a chef in the evening which smelt delicious, we’d already planned to eat elsewhere but if we were staying for longer we would have eaten here.

AustraliaNothing. We love this place.
Cachi is an amazing town. The Hosteria Villa Cardon has a great location, meters from the main road and plaza, an area with many attractions. The hotel is built in the traditional style of the colonial period. It's a true boutique place with only 4 beautifully decorated rooms. Service is friendly and helpful; for example they welcomed us with a couple of large freshly squeezed orange juices. It has its own small cafe that serves the most wonderful breakfasts and dinners to guests, sampling local delicacies combined with freshly baked breads and delicious local wines. Best place to stay in Cachi !!!

United KingdomNothing, we enjoyed everything, thank you.
This is a lovely place just a couple of minutes walk from the main square. Being welcomed with a glass of fresh orange juice was a nice touch. The bed was super comfy and had a thick duvet and extra blankets for the cold nights. It also had a heater, if needed. The WiFi worked just fine for us.The staff were great, so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best we've had on this trip, and the scones ... just delicious! Parking was outside the hotel on the road, but perfectly safe. Whilst not directly related to the accommodation, we had a lovely meal here on our second evening and would recommend this as an option. There was no menu, but the food was delicious ... much nicer than the 'posh' restaurant we ate in the previous night.
