Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt’s a shame you don’t get a view of Fitzroy from this end of town. The rooms would be pretty cramped if there were 3 people in them (they do try to spread you out, so probably season dependent). Not getting WiFi in the rooms could be an issue for some. There are bright lights on in the courtyard 24/7- bring a mask. There is only 1 comfortable sofa in the lounge (4 that no one sits on).
Location was great for hike access & I liked the variety of restaurants @ this end of town & the supermarket is right there. It is about 15min walk from the bus station. I lucked out & had a 3-bed dorm to myself after sharing with 1 other for a couple of nights. Kitchen & common areas were light & fine. Generally quiet & respectful- since this is the only space that you can get the WiFi. Staff were very friendly.

DenmarkThe place wasn't cheap, but as I understand none of the places really are. The rooms were absolutely tiny, and I would have loved to stay in one of the family rooms instead of the 4sqm rooms. We were lucky that we were the only two people in a 4-person room for our 6 days staying there, as we wouldn't know where to put our bags, changed, packed, etc otherwise. It was also a super dark room. The kitchen was old, it was hard to manage the stoves, and it always had pretty dirty cloths for drying the utensils etc. People are not always good at cleaning either, but that is what you can expect from most hostel kitchens and I've seen worse. With everything I would still stay here again and it was a good place to meet and talk to fellow travellers.
The staff was amazing, friendly and accommodating even though we could barely understand each other (but Google Translate and super basic Spanish always help!). It is a very basic hostel but with a big common area, though an upgrade of the sofas would definitely make it more cosy to hang out at. The kitchen was old but well equipped and people managed to make everything from extravagant Christmas food to basic lunches. The showers were OK as the water was hot. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable hostel beds we tried in Argentina, though the rooms are TINY. They accepted both cash and card and had a super fast laundry service for around 7000 pesos. El Chaltén is notorious for bad internet, but at least we had good wifi in the common room (but non-existent in the room). It was right next to a lot of good restaurants, cafes, a supermarket and the trails.

United States of AmericaVery weak wifi The small dorms are a bit gloomy in my opinion. Also doors can't be locked (which ended up being perfectly fine but was a bit of a surprise given that they are accessible from the outside of the hostel)
Very well located next to the start of the hiking trails to the Fitz Roy Chill atmosphere Comfortable

South AfricaThe staff don’t speak Spanish but friendly. The property is good if only one person stays in a room. If 2 people, I imagine it will be a little too tight.

Germany-bathrooms could be cleaner (spiderwebs on lamps and in corners of the shower) -super loud in the early morning because walls are very thin, people getting ready for their treks are loud in the common area and house cleaning starts early and with a lot of noise -not cosy: fewer tables and chairs in the dining room, would need some nice sofas for hanging out in the evenings -would be nice if there were garden chairs or hammocks in the garden or behind the dining room
-super friendly staff -nice atmosphere -good location -well-equiped kitchen -perfect laundry service

IrelandThe dorms are tiny so when full it's very cramped. There is only one ladder for the top bunks which is very awkward, especially if you have to get down during the night when the ladder is on the other bed and you don't want to wake people.
Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Common areas were excellent, plenty of space and seating. Kitchens were fabulous. Decent WiFi. Excellent location close to trails and a supermarket right across the street.

IsraelNot a very considerate staff, we had a personal crisis and needed some assistance and the staff couldn’t care less, luckily some other travelers came through for us, bear in mind the most Argentinians are very nice people so that was very surprising. the rooms we’re very small.
clean, good wifi - important in El Chalten, and a big and well equipped kitchen. The cleaning lady is very very nice we liked her a lot.
