Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe hotel cannot be reached from the garage without navigating stairs. It's also not advisable to park a car outside of the garage in this neighborhood.
Staff was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We had requested a room on one of the upper floors beforehand, so they gave us one on the 18th level with a grandiose view of the entire city (see photo). Also, when our car broke down in the garage under the hotel after checkout, they helped us with our bulky luggage and let us recharge our cell phones in the lobby. The room (a "biggy") was spacy enough for our stay of just over a week and had a sofa and an armchair as well as a very comfortable bed.

NetherlandsThere was a high pitch in the electricity on the bedside table, maybe the lamp or whatever. As I went to bed exhausted from work and dizzy from the drinks, I just noticed it in the morning and was to tired to do anything about it three nights in a row ;-) The quick breakfast on offer for 5 EUR is just a juice, a croissant and a banana. Easy 5 bucks to save, I would not pick that again.
The Hoxton fits the trend of new stylish hotels. The interior design is a stunning mix of 1970s Miami meets James Bond folded into the 21st century. I took one of the big rooms (biggy) on the 14th floor with a stunning city view. The roof terrace on the 22nd floor offers an even better view to be enjoyed while having a cocktail. The spacious rooms have a seating area next to the floor to ceiling windows. The interior design of the rooms is as well done executed as in the lobby and the restaurants. It all fits the theme, but is never boring. Big plus is the proper coffee machine and a barista who knows how to use it. The location is great, ten minutes walk away from North Station, close to Metro Botanique. Since Hotel Bloom decided to replace their great interior design with the most ugly designs imaginable (see my review), the Hoxton will become my go to place in Brussels.

CanadaNothing specific about the hotel but be careful/watchful when walking in the areas around.
The room was so cute and spacious. Nice style and very well decorated, good mix of colours, especially the pink and blue bathroom I absolutely adored. We got upgraded and the bathroom in our room was the biggest we have ever seen in a hotel. It got a little space with 2 very comfortable single sofa seats with a good view down the city. Very comfortable bed as well. The hotel is also about 5-7mins walk to Brussel-Nord station as well.

PolandThe bathroom is too dark and the lights are very dim. Ceiling light had malfunctioning switches and I couldn't get it to work. But this all is nothing compared to the awesome quality of the hotel.
Views are magnificent as the room are placed above 16th floor. You can'tbeat it. Bed is ultra comfortable. Bathroom is well organised and very convenient. Service is very very helpful and nice. This was my 2nd visited.

United States of AmericaDisappointed in the steak dinner! It was a small portion which was very chewy with a lot of gristle! Also, visited the Tope and waited almost 30 minutes after 2 requests for wait staff. Nice menu selections and great city view.
Great room space, cleanliness and comfort. Very congenial, knowledgeable and informative staff especially Sarah in reception at Brussels site!

United KingdomThe location is both in a nice area and iffy area. Nice: next to botanical gardens and short walk from the centrum. Iffy: the area surrounding is a little bit sketchy, not the best neighbourhood.
The building itself and the decor was beautiful. Amenities were good. Very clean. Staff was absolutely fabulous. Really lovely people working there. The cafe and the bar is good. Pastries at the cafe are wonderful, and the coffee is fantastic, as well as the staff who were working there.

United KingdomThe walk from the city centre late at night felt a little unsafe - but that’s also true of lots of areas of Brussels. Overall it didn’t dampen anything for us, we would stay again without hesitation.
The property was absolutely stunning - with every little detail & design so well thought out. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a corner room, with an incredible view of the city. Due to the hot weather & lots of glass, the room was very hot on arrival but that was soon rectified once we got to grips with the central heating.
