Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RussiaAll the equipment was worn and the room itself requires some minimum renovation. That was also way far from the cleanest room I've been at.
People at the reception were polite and helpful. The room was absolutely perfect for the sleep - a firm mattress, good pillows, blackout curtains. I was surprised to see a spacious fridge.

Great location and value for money. Good for a one night stay and definitely don't regret staying here. It's a comfortable experience and I love how near the train station and city centre it is.

United KingdomI reported that the reading light next to my bed had a broken bulb on the first evening and the friendly desk clerk apologised that they would not be able to look at it until the following morning. However, despite this, nothing was done to repair it during my entire stay.
Very nice, friendly staff. Good range of breakfast options and (most importantly!) excellent coffee. However, they ran out of 'bulk' rather than cheese slices on the fist day and didn't replace it during the rest of our stay. A small niggle only though.

GeorgiaThere was no heating in one of the rooms. Water pressure was a little bit low in some rooms. Moreover, there was no drain in the bathroom causing water to spill into the entrance of the room. It would also be good to add slippers, robes and toothbrush and paste in the bathroom.
Excellent location, very close to the central station. Very clean rooms and good breakfast. Staff was very friendly.

BelgiumThe shower flow was just a trickle. It was one of the rare hot days of 24C in April, and we were hot and stuffy in the room. But the hotel told us that the aircon will only be switched on in June! and there is nothing they can do to help. We had to open the windows, but what a ruckus it was from outside, even at 2am! We could hear all the conversations from below and also from people in the street and its supposed to be a quiet alley. Makes me wonder how safe is this for solo female travellers returning at night?
The location is not too far from Antwerp Opera tram station, just 10 minustes walk but its in a small quiet alley. The room comes with full coffee making facilities, kettle, coffee/cream/sugar and tea bags. Overall the decor may need to be refreshed, but the beds and pillows are firm enough for a good night's sleep. The bathroom is that of shower in a bathtub, and all in one cleanser. Breakfast is at 16euro which we did not partake, but conveniently 100m down the corner, there is a Carrefour Express which serves fresh breads/convenient snacks.

United KingdomWater pressure was abysmal. Best part of 45 minutes waiting for a bath to run half full. Considering the price, the finishings were terrible. The carpet was attached as skirting and was thick with dust, the walls were absolutely covered in slops and stains. Whilst the room and communal areas were clean enough, the actual state of certain aspects of the room was unacceptable. The bathroom door has no lock, and when I say no lock, I mean it had a gaping hole where the actual locking system was no longer present. The door stop was literally at your feet when using the toilet, which is ridiculous, because the door was too high to actually hit the stop. Technically, the toilet or the person using it were the door stop.
The staff were lovely. Absolutely fantastic location. Far enough out of the hustle and bustle to be quiet, but close enough to walk to every sight within 15 minutes. Super close to the central station.

LatviaI was hearing constant noise from the vent outside the building. I didn't disrupt my sleep though, but still. I wish windows noise isolation would be better. Also, I didn't see any mention of city tax in my booking, so it was a bit of surprise to me. Not so much important, but TV remote wasn't functional in my room and very short list of channels were available. Only couple of them in English.
Convenient location near Antwerp central train station, shops, and the old town. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall good enough experience.

BelgiumThe room lacked a refrigerator, had a somewhat vintage aesthetic, and could benefit from an upgrade. Additionally, the water tap in the bathroom was loose and in need of fixing.
The double-bed was wonderful to sleep in. The room and bathroom were clean. The location is great - walking distance into town. Truly great experience!
