The fridge is so loud I had to disconnect it for the night. TV remote control is not fully working, the tv set cannot be powered on or off from it. The bed is old and VERY noisy.

There is no reception, the owner calls you / you call him, and he gives instructions. Communication is OK, checking in is easy at any moment. Lots of TV channels, however all Bulgarian.

There was a bit of unpleasant cigarette smell in the room, even though it is supposed to be a non-smoking room. We couldn't quite get rid of it. Also, the bathroom could have been cleaner.

The city view was pretty nice; most of the time it was quiet and pleasant. The hotel has the basic necessities. It is perfect for an one-night stay or a budget trip. Good for one person or a couple, but it will be challenging for a family with a child.

TV for some reason didn't work. Not a big deal for myself and my partner but just something we noticed. Not sure if the frige was working or not but we didn't need it to me honest. It didn't feel like it was working, hence me mentioning it here.

Relatively close proximity to Gorna Banya metro station. Great view from the balcony. Overall comfortable conditions of the accomodation: Nicely sized room and bathroom, additional blanket was just the right thickness to provide great level of warmth during the night, AC worked well, just right amount of towels, easy access to the room.

The bathroom didn’t have toilet paper and wasn’t very clean overall. It is also a little bit far from public transport stops.

Dogs were loud at night and sound proofing wasn't that great, could hear the other rooms. Stale smoke smell throughout.

I'm not an early riser so I find it difficult if a room lets in alot of light or there is noise in the morning. Eye mask and earplugs sorts this issue for me wherever I am.

My second time staying here. I wouldnt have rebooked this hotel if it wasn't a good place. Sofia can be hit and miss and many hotels are mis advertised, dirty and with bad facilities even though their adverts say otherwise. Hotel Fancy is exactly as advertised, great value for money and a good Hotel to spend some time near Sofia without being in the middle of the city.

Noisy cleaners, our rooms curtains didn't close all the way so blinding at dawn then woken up harshly by alot of noise, ear plugs and eye mask fixed that.

Location location location. It is a charming area with friendly locals, many places to eat cheaply, a lovely park where the locals gather, spring water taps to fill up from (comes out at 37c and needs to be chilled first) friendly owner. Very green area with alot of wildlife.

When we arrived, it was the staff of the bike rental business downstairs who gave us our room's key. They literally just gave us our key and showed us the door of the room and that's it. They struggled to find the wifi password when we asked for it. The worst part was the internet which is really bad. It's too far from the subway (15-20mn walking, and too isolated so we didn't want to walk this path by night), at least the bus was not too far. The bathroom's toilet was not clean when we arrived.

It's very quiet. The room is pretty big and nice, with equipment. It's like 30mn with the from the city center, so it's still okay.

I need refund if it possible.I have never been till now like this hotel if I could see that is hotel.Bed was very old as old furniture around.Bathroom door was rotten and it's totally for change.Tv remote control no working too .And it was noice because under the 1 floor where I was with my girlfriend there is shop and don't know some costumers or someone else done noise in the morning.I don't recommend this 🛏️ and some ants been running around the floor too.I want my money back please because from squeak bed I didn't sleep well and my girlfriend too.Thanks

Room in general was dirty and dusty plus the bathroom hasn't been clean for god knows how long. The cup where you put normally your toothbrush was black at the bottom and dirty. It didn't seem to be clean, as well as all the dust there was a funny smell in the room and curtains need a good wash too.

chronologically: - nobody called to confirm anything, there is no reception - called the number listed in Booking, a guy responded and told me to ring the number on the door - called the number on the door, another guy answering doesn't speak english very well, we take like 5 minutes to find our rooms (a 20 second walk) - the parking is not there. this hotel is listed like it has parking but doesn't (!!!) - inside the yard there is no directions signs, the door with the phone number on it is actually a garage door and it's locked (and since is the first one as you enter the yard, it is very confusing) - we got two rooms and both had pictures with sexual poses on the (okay, fine..) - me and my wife get a room that smells like a smoking room and opening the window doesn't help much, but helps a couple of mosquitos to enter - I go into the bathroom where IT STINKS HARD. mold on the shower wall blacks out the seems of the wall tiling. - walk around the room without anything in my feet and I look at my feet, they are disgusting (washed my feet in the sink because I don't feel comfortable showering with that mold) - went to bed, everything smells like burnt cigarettes, except that a mouldy smell appears - I forgot the bathroom door slightly ajar and the mold is that strong. - closed everything, trying to sleep. dogs start barking on the street and you can hear everything. my background: I've worked at a 4-star Ramada hotel for 6 years long time ago - I know how hotels work and this "fancy family hotel" is not fancy, is not for families and it ain't a hotel!
