Smoking is not restricted so the rooftop area looking at the Cathedral stank! Our shower flooded all over the bedroom and we had to move. Lack of maintenance. The shower drain was filled with hair etc. yuk

The rooftop bar was smokey, loud and overpriced... it was difficult to enjoy what would have been a great view.

Loved the room and bathroom -- clean, comfortable and quiet. The big windows were very nice and the sun coming in made it very bright and cheery. Valet parking was quite convenient.

Unfortunately sound isolation is not perfect, at night I could hear road traffic. I also didn’t figure out how to adjust AC, so it was very cold in my room. Sauna wasn’t very warm either.

The room door cannot be locked from inside, housekeeping enter after knocking two times, without waiting an answer The cleaning of the room was not proper They have a restaurant at the ground floor, but you can’t charge the bill at your room, but you have to pay directly, there is nowhere this information At the same time on the roof top restaurant, they look after to take reservations from outside clients and they don’t keep space for residents

Single beds were a little narrow. One member of staff on the top floor bar was really rude - her attitude was unacceptable and she made it feel like we didn't belong there. When we finally did get sat down in the bar the bar was very smokey, I understand that this is in line with local custom but for someone from the UK felt old-fashioned. Prices in the top floor bar were extortionate also.

Room was beautiful, spa was really nice and well maintained. View from the top floor bar was wonderful and the drinks and food up there pretty good. Warm welcome from the staff including a welcome drink, the scent used in the reception area was very nice. Location was super central for all of the main areas of Sofia.

Only thing that sucked was the Wi-Fi wouldn't reach my room but cellular service worked fine anyways.

An all around excellent hotel. From the location central to all the sights, the in-hotel bar and spa make it arguably the best in town. And they serve an amazing Shopska salad. There are 360 degree views of the city from the rooftop. Nikola, Nourhan, Todor were great in taking care of everything I needed. The ambiance of the room was super minimalist, modern and sleek. The fridge and mini bar is kept behind one of the closet doors. A small detail carefully thought out. Would highly recommend people in Sofia stay here!

Got a room with 2 separate beds (knew about this in advance), which were rather narrow; the view from 2nd floor to the backyard can't be called fantastic; smokers in the bar late evening / at night (probbaly normal thing for Sofia)

while the rooms are generally great, in our room the shower screen was leaking, so quite a lot of water leaked out when having a shower, and i think this was resulting in a unpleasant odour from the grouting outside. Basically there was an unpleasant odour and we associated it with having a shower and that the shower was leaking quite badly.

As always love staying at the Sense hotel, rooms are wonderful, and facilities are fantastic (spa and roof top bar).

Beautiful room, loved the rooftop bar but the staff was exceptional. Sadly, both my husband and daughter were ill during our stay. The reception staff were outstanding in helping me organise a doctor. We were all very grateful and appreciative for this.

I didn't like: *The cost - the room was a bit pricey and for that price I paid there should be a bit more included in the room package, for example additional minibar access or perhaps some discount at the rooftop bar to even the price out a bit. *The steam room wasn't available on my visit, so again for the price I paid i'd expect all the spa facilities to be open and available to use.

I liked: *The bed, it was very comfy *The view from the room and rooftop bar was excellent *The food at the rooftop bar and breakfast was very nice *The controls in the room on lighting is a nice touch *The bathroom facilities were all great *The spa, pool and hot tub were all excellent *All the staff were friendly - and although I didn't ask for my clothes to be arranged neatly on the Monday of my stay I appreciated that a member of staff gave my clothes a tidy and put on the radio for me on my return to the room as i'd come back from a busy day out *Great decor all around the hotel *Good location and close to several landmarks in Sofia
