Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsDefinitely not a 5 star hotel! Maximum 3. - It was extremely hot in the room (26 degrees!), there is no option to regulate the temperature, we had to open the window with -9 degrees outside. - No one cleaned the room for 2 days in a row, literally, they even didn’t make the bed and didn’t change the towels! - We stayed for 7 nights and we never got the bed linen changed
Great location in the city centre with parking available! Great views from upper floors. generally, it’s a good hotel.

PolandNice, really spacious, well equipped room, in warm, fresh style. Nice style lobby with currency exchange and lobby bar. Hotel had a big renovation a few years ago and since that time it has been still looking new and fresh. Very clean. Big range of meals for breakfast. At reception this time they had the flag of Poland, so I was satisfied (before I missed it).

PolandI found some minor damages of equipment in the bathroom, nothing special, but shall be fixed. At the reception I did not find the flag of Poland (despite there were many flags there), what made me think, that maybe people from Poland are not welcome or appreciated in this hotel :(.
One of the best hotels in Minsk, renovated a few years ago, looks still fresh and new. Rooms are more spacious than in most chain hotels, which is a big advantage. Very nice room and corridors architecture. Nice staff, fast check in and check out. Good breakfast

United KingdomHowever, why is this hotel charging you £ 18 per person for breakfast (local breakfast available for £ 3) ?? Why are all the family rooms advertised with city views when only two family rooms actually have city views?? At the President's hotel, there are too many moments, where I had to scratch my head. The ways of how things are working and the staff especially the managers behaving are strange and not always understandable. The reception staff does its best to make you feel welcome, but I think they could do better with a more involved management behind them.
It's a nice hotel, with the charm of the past. The rooms are clean and tidy but a bit tired.

United Arab EmiratesThe hotel is in desperate need of a revamp. Furniture is old and tired. The lobby area with its dim lighting and bar area screams 80’s. Beds are uncomfortable mainly due to the over used / collapsing mattress. Also, the hotel claims they have AC but all there is a stupid Soviet era button that does absolutely nothing. Breakfast is nothing to write home about. On my last day the water came brown from the tap due to a plumbing incident. The hotel manager refused to speak to me on the phone and the maintenance team couldn’t resolve the issue. I went to the airport without taking a shower. One last thing—- as you walk around the hotel a murky smell hits you. Obviously, management hasn’t heard of air fresheners used in other hotels worldwide…
Relatively spacious rooms. That’s it.
