It was 8 miles from the village, but it was fine since it was right on the beach.

I could see and hear the ocean from the bed. The restaurant had a varied and delicious menu.

The staff at Maya Beach Hotel went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend that people stay there and I would stay there again every time I am in Placencia. There is no better place to be! The staff made my and my mother's experience unforgettable and the service was impeccable.

The only thing that was a little anonying is that the AC in our room was very loud and disturbing at night (hibiscus room).

Spacious room, great view of the ocean and beach. Loved the amenities of a bike, paddleboard and games to play. Staff was fabulous and helped us set up tours. Good restaurant on site.

The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, springy, and loud whenever you moved. We felt that the hotel was a little too expensive for what it was offering. The staff were efficient and responsive, but not always very friendly. We felt a bit as though we were putting them out when we asked for anything.

Beautiful location, the beachfront was a lovely setting. The pool was really nice and we had access to paddle boards ( the sea is very calm in the morning), kayaks and bikes. We were given a free drink on arrival which was a nice touch. The room had great facilities and was comfortable and spacious. The hotel dog and cat were so cute and friendly. Great cocktails at the bistro.

We had a room at the end of the property, which was perfect. But a few of the rooms near the restaurant and lobby I’m guessing would’ve been fairly noisy.

I’ve never had a room so close to the beach and it was incredible! The room was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay!

Loved the friendly staff, being 50 steps to the clean beach, felt safe, good sized clean air conditioned room, the kayaks, sup, beach chairs & hammock to use. Because it was a bit from Placencia village, it felt a bit more relaxing. Also loved the fresh coconut directly from the tree.

Quiet, location on the waterfront near Cocoplum marina. Great staff and restaurant on site, greeted with a cocktail. Pool onsite, and cute souvenir store. Nice dock to sit out on. Enjoyed free bike rentals but did not get a chance to try kayak. Spacious room with indoor and patio sitting areas.

The Maya Beach Hotel is located in Maya Beach, a beautiful area on the Placencia peninsula. Our room was right on the beach where we could sit on the patio with our complimentary drinks and watch the palm trees sway in the wind. It is next to the Maya Beach Bistro which outstanding and has won awards for its food. From there it’s an easy drive to Placencia town where we got a snorkeling excursion to Silke Caye. We also rented a kayak there. The hotel offers kayaks but you launch directly into the often windy Caribbean. Launching from the bay side in Placencia made more sea to us. In any case, the Maya Beach Hotel is a great choice for exploring the peninsula.

It would be great to be offered an included breakfast . The owners are considering such. Also, it would be great to have a shuttle service into Placencia Village. A shared shuttle from Belize City airport might reduce the cost per person. That would be helpful!!

Breakfast was good. There were many good choices and portions were generous. The owners are considering an included continental breakfast which would even be better!The owners were very accommodating and eager to address and resolve any concerns. They were extremely generous and fair in doing such. You can’t ask for better than that! We would love to return!

A wonderfully peaceful place to spend our last couple of days in Belize. Beautiful beach, nice assortment of paddle boards, excellent bistro with exceptional breakfast fare.

Would have liked a tub but the shower pressure was great.

Wonderful suite, wonderful staff & delightful owners, right on beach with the perfect dock plus the bar, restaurant & pool made it the perfect stay. It rained our whole trip in early November, so having this as home made the visit wonderful even with no sun!

The layout in the middle of the jungle. We loved the room up in the boarding house area. We were in Hibiscus and it was perfect. The staff is what REALLY made the stay. They were so helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Wish we’d stayed longer. Next time!
