The bathroom is not handicapped friendly but I didn't care. That's the way I authentic hotels

Coming from the US, this a gem. It's an old fashioned Italian hotel . The view is totally breathtaking. The room was clean. The front desk welcoming. The breakfast was delicious in my opinion. Not plastic made like we have in the US for the rice range. Real Italian cheese, fresh and real bread, eggs, italian cheese, charcuterie. . The road to get to the hotel is steep so if you have suitcases, unload at the front door. The hotel in 10 min from Bre . A cute Italian village. Typical with a view. I loved this hotel. It's also very quiet.

We booked a simple room, but they upgraded us to a junior suite with a lake view! The room is comfortable, the view from the balcony is stunning (see photo). The balcony is spacious with two lounge chairs and a small drinks table. The breakfast is excellent, the coffee freshly prepared to order. You get a Ticino ticket with your stay, with free public transit in the whole canton – we used the bus to get from the hotel to the city and back, and used the trains to go between cities during our stay.

The restaurant could have better food - both dinner and breakfast were extremely mediocre. Location - it is a really long bus ride away from the train station.

Beautiful location halfway up the mountain but it was quite a painful bus ride getting there (up a winding mountain road). Great views from the room overlooking the lake and Lugano.

The view is just fantastic. Best hotel view in Lugano so far. If you book the room with the view for sure :-) Pool is great as well as free parking.

I had a special offer, the value-price relation was unbeatable. The sight from the balcony exceptional, the highlight for me. Breakfast very good buffet. Only relatively difficult to reach hence half on Monte bre, but you can`t have the fantastic sight and be in close to the center at once... Nice staff

Put aside all the things - comfort, staff, the breakfast buffet, etc. -, this hotel has an amazing view over the Lugano Lake. It's worthy to come here just for that.

Quality hotel with good and friendly staff, all the necessary services available and a beautiful view of the town and the lake. The rooms were spacious and clean. Slightly harder beds but overall satisfaction with the services. City transport and access included in the price of accommodation a great advantage.

We had booked an economy room but on arrival we were told we had been upgraded - wow, what a view! Our huge window looked out on to the mountains and lake and it was spectacular. There was a balcony where we could sit and take it all in while enjoying a beer from the mini bar. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff were all fantastic. The bus just outside every half hour was an easy way to get to the centre of Lugano.

Beds were a little uncomfortable, but for the price were fine.

The view for dinner is stunning, drinnks and dinner on the terrace highly recommended. The swimming pool is lovely too, we had a great time and will be back.

No tea supplied in the room. Bathroom hot water system ok but a little bit temperamental. 20 min bus ride to town might bother some clients.

Very pleasing room with comfortable sofa and amazing view from terrace. Dining area has a touch of old-fashioned luxury with tablecloths with large panoramic windows overlooking lake and mountains. Good breakfast.
