Spotlessly clean with very friendly owners and staff. Excellent breakfast. The restaurant is excellent for dinner, A short walk to the ski lifts, and ski lockers provided.

The rooms get very warm in the heat and are hard to ventilate - obviously this is a relatively new problem for the area and I didn't ask for a fan from the staff, but it's worth bearing in mind - fans in rooms as standard would be good.

Exceptionally friendly staff who were kind towards my attempts to speak French, tasty breakfast and a great location with a gorgeous outdoor area and stunning balcony views.

It was well value the money compared to general Swiss hotels. Grimentz was a surprisingly authentique old swiss village. We happened to arrive at a day when there was a local market.

For dinner in the hotel's restaurant, I ordered a green salad followed by a burger. The waiter told me that the burger came with a salad as well, but on seeing me hesitate, he then said "But it's just a very small one". I was expecting a couple of slices of tomato and an onion ring, and so was surprised to see my burger served with exactly the same salad as my starter, just in a smaller bowl. I think the waiter could have suggested an alternative starter. I didn't eat any of the second salad, having already eaten enough beforehand, so it went to waste.

We stayed here for one night during a hiking trip. Our room on the top floor was large, with a balcony that enabled us to wash and dry our hiking clothes. There was even a bath, which felt like a real luxury after 5 days of hot, sweaty walking.

We got room on 1st floor just above the entrance. So it was noisy in the late evening people coming back to hotel late.

We had a heat wave so having the AC in the room would have been a plus. However I would definitely go back there.

The staff was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel was spotless, and very quiet. The location was perfect for hiking or skiing if you go in the winter. Grimentz is a beautiful place.
